Job Description Job Title : Automation Internship - Carlow Location : Carlow Carlow is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Intern to join our Digital Manufacturing Operations (DMO) team. This exciting opportunity is designed to provide a structured and flexible development program, enabling you to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge, regulated manufacturing environment while contributing to impactful digital transformation initiatives. As an intern, you will play a key role in supporting digital systems, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence within our manufacturing processes.

You will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining the automated and computerized systems that support the manufacturing site at Carlow. This role offers hands-on experience with automation technologies and software development practices in a dynamic work environment. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to advanced technologies and industry best practices.

Key areas of intern work experience Assist in the day-to-day operational support of the manufacturing site.

Support the administration of automated systems in a GMP environment. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to enable business continuity. Identify automation improvement opportunities.

Use data analysis tools for the analysis of systems for improvement and system interrogation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using digital tools and analytics. Document automation processes and maintain technical documentation.

Execute changes to systems following Standard Operating Procedures. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For Preferred Education Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Automation & Robotics Computer Science & Information Technology Software Engineering Mechatronics Preferred Skills and Qualifications Basic knowledge of Automation systems. Familiarity with automation tools/software and frameworks. Understanding of electrical fundamentals of industrial control systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
