Labcorp is seeking an Intern – Medical Technologist (Clinical Chemistry) to join our team in Singapore Internship Details: Duration : at least 20 weeks, full-time (Onsite) Dates of Internship : Jan – Jun 2027 Compensation : Paid internship Eligibility : Final-year students who are expected to graduate in Jul/Aug 2027 are preferred.

About Team: The Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory offers a comprehensive repertoire of laboratory tests ranging from renal, liver, cardiac, respiratory functions to highly specialized tests for hormones, tumor markers, trace metals, vitamins and therapeutic drug monitoring to help clinicians in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of diseases. Analyses of biochemical constituents are conducted in blood, urine, and other body fluids (such as cerebrospinal fluid, pleural fluid, ascitic fluid, etc).
You will learn about the various assays and their applications which are essential for clinical and commercial application which has facilitated the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments to manage a wide array of diseases. Internship Assignment Summary: This program will provide students with valuable, hands-on experience and the student will gain clinical experience working in the laboratory of a drug development company. Attend laboratory modules associated with quality control management, pipetting skills, coupled with various informatics labware.
Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your soft skills and professional presence. Be equipped with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) knowledge and exposure. Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Real-world experience working as part of a drug development team in the laboratory. The intern will be trained in pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical aspects of the department workflow and the applications of various assays. Instruction and mentorship will be provided.
At the end of training, the student will do presentation to fulfill his/her understanding in the project assignment. Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related Bachelor's degree programs. Other degree programs can also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Able to organize data and documents effectively. Demonstrates the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and internal/external colleagues. Have the “can-do” and proactive mindset when resolving issues.
Additional Job Standards: Good organization and multitasking ability. Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
