That’s why we need a Manufacturing Engineer like you to join Diagnostic Grifols SA, part of the Grifols Group specialized in developing technological solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

The Manufacturing Engineering Department is part of the Production organization and provides technical support to manufacturing areas through the management of engineering projects, continuous improvement of equipment and facilities and the implementation of new production capabilities. We work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation and Maintenance teams to ensure that processes, equipment, and infrastructures comply with the company's quality, safety and efficiency standards. We also collaborate closely with external engineering firms, equipment manufacturers and specialized suppliers in the design, development and implementation of new equipment, facilities and industrial services that support the organization's growth and transformation.

What your responsibilities will be Lead projects involving the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, facilities and production areas. Manage projects related to the expansion and improvement of industrial utilities and services (compressed air, HVAC, purified water, etc.). Coordinate engineering activities with external suppliers, contractors and internal departments.

Participate in the design and review of layouts, material flows and the configuration of new production areas. Oversee construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, GMP standards, safety regulations, timelines and budgets. Prepare and review technical documentation associated with engineering projects.

Coordinate commissioning activities, testing execution, qualification and validation of new facilities and systems. Act as a technical reference for industrial infrastructure projects, ensuring that implemented solutions meet both current and future manufacturing needs. Identify opportunities for improvement in equipment, facilities and production processes.

Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with established milestones and allocated budgets. Participate in strategic expansion projects and the transfer of manufacturing activities to new facilities. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions). Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical).

Degree in Pharmacy or Chemical Engineering will also be considered with additional training in Project Management and/or a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Industry. Proven experience managing industrial projects related to manufacturing equipment and facilities, preferably within the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, biotechnology or food industries. To have experience in industrial construction or facility expansion projects and/or experience in the design and execution of cleanrooms and GMP-compliant environments will be highly valuable.

Also, to have participated in technology transfer projects or the commissioning of new manufacturing facilities. Knowledge of industrial installations and critical utilities such as HVAC systems, compressed air, purified water, industrial gases and monitoring systems. Experience coordinating external engineering firms, suppliers and contractors.

Knowledge of GMP regulations and requirements. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation. Advanced level of English.

Proactive attitude, autonomy and the ability to drive projects while coordinating multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and continuously evolving environment. Excellent planning, organizational and project tracking skills.
