Associate Director, Global Commercialization, Market Research
Position Summary
The Associate Director, Global Commercialization, Market Research is a key member of the Global Business Insights & Analytics organization, responsible for leading and managing global market research activities across a portfolio of in-line oncology assets spanning both Solid Tumors and Hematology. This individual will serve as the global market research lead for launched brands, ensuring that stakeholder decisions are informed by robust customer insights, market intelligence, and actionable analytics.
The role will partner closely with Global Brand Teams, Regional and Local Market Research colleagues, Commercial leadership, Medical Affairs, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, and Alliance partners to design and execute primary market research programs that support strategic and tactical business decisions. A significant portion of the role includes a hematology asset managed through a strategic alliance, requiring strong collaboration, influence, and stakeholder management skills across organizations.
The successful candidate will be a proactive insights leader who excels at translating complex market dynamics into clear business recommendations and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.
Key Responsibilities
Global Market Research Leadership
- ✓Serve as the primary global market research lead for assigned in-line oncology brands across Solid Tumors and Hematology.
- ✓Develop and execute annual market research plans aligned with brand and business objectives.
- ✓Ensure insight generation supports key commercial, lifecycle management, and portfolio decisions.
- ✓Drive outstanding and agile execution of global market research and insights generation guiding the highest-priority brand and lifecycle initiatives, while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and guidelines.
Primary Market Research & Tracking Studies
- ✓Collaborate with local stakeholders on the design, execution, analysis, and communication of primary market research initiatives, including:
- ✓Attitude & Usage (ATU) studies
- ✓Ad hoc qualitative and quantitative studies
- ✓Manage external research vendors and agency partners to ensure high-quality execution and actionable deliverables.
- ✓Monitor market research spend for assigned brands, ensuring research activities remain aligned with approved budgets, priorities, and timelines, and proactively communicate any potential budget implications to relevant stakeholders.
- ✓Translate research findings into concise, business-focused recommendations for senior leadership.
- ✓Present complex issues in a clear and persuasive manner, effectively communicating recommendations to cross-functional and brand teams.
Regional & Market Engagement
- ✓Act as the central point of contact for global market research initiatives involving regional and local teams.
- ✓Partner with regional stakeholders to incorporate local business needs into global research designs.
- ✓Drive consistency and harmonization of methodologies, metrics, and insight reporting across markets.
- ✓Facilitate knowledge sharing and best-practice adoption across geographies.
Alliance Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- ✓Represent Global Business Insights & Analytics in alliance working teams and governance meetings for partnered hematology assets.
- ✓Collaborate effectively with alliance counterparts to align research priorities, methodologies, timelines, and deliverables.
- ✓Build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of joint initiatives.
- ✓Navigate complex stakeholder environments and resolve competing priorities through effective communication and influence.
- ✓Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members and country-level colleagues to ensure alignment on study objectives and dissemination of insights and learning; a positive mindset of collaboration and OneGenmab is required.
- ✓Cultivate meaningful internal and external partnerships that add value and insight for the organization, remaining insight-driven in uncovering important unmet needs.
Strategic Insight Generation
- ✓Integrate findings from primary research with secondary intelligence, analytics, forecasting, and competitive insights.
- ✓Synthesize multiple sources of information into a cohesive understanding of market opportunities, customer needs, and brand performance.
- ✓Develop executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendations for global leadership teams.
- ✓Support annual strategic planning, brand planning, and lifecycle management activities.
- ✓Partner across the commercial team to integrate primary research (custom, syndicated, etc.) with brand, sales, and payer analytics, forecasting, and competitive intelligence to drive strategies and organizational actions that have a tangible impact on revenue or profit.
- ✓Continually synthesize insights and analytics so that learning builds cumulatively across the brand lifecycle and culminates in successful launches of new indications and label expansions.
- ✓Design and execute launch-readiness market research plans for new indications and lifecycle milestones, addressing brand strategic imperatives such as brand identity, messaging, and demand research.
Qualifications
Education
- ✓Bachelor's degree required.
- ✓Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- ✓6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare consulting, market research agency, or related industry roles.
- ✓Significant experience leading primary pharmaceutical market research.
- ✓Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- ✓Experience supporting oncology brands strongly preferred.
- ✓Experience working with in-line or launched pharmaceutical products preferred.
- ✓Experience operating within alliance or co-commercialization environments highly preferred.
- ✓Strength in storytelling, data visualization, and developing effective, persuasive presentations.
- ✓High degree of intellectual curiosity, with strong problem-solving skills.
- ✓Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications.
- ✓Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with changing priorities and significant time pressures.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$163,920.00---$245,880.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
