Role reports to: FINANCE CONTROLLER Location: Latin America, Colombia, Distrito Capital de Bogota, Bogota Work Location: Hybrid What you will do Key Responsibilities Support the preparation of US GAAP, Local GAAP, and Tax reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information. Assist with Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounting processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities in compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, and internal controls.
Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving outstanding items. Support the preparation of IFRS cash flow statements and reconciliation of local and corporate financial reporting. Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and supporting schedules.
Contribute to process improvement and standardization initiatives. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, IFRS/US GAAP requirements, and internal control standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Basic to intermediate English proficiency. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills . Basic knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience & Skills Required 0 to 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Shared Services, or related areas. Knowledge of general accounting processes and financial statements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Experience in a multinational company, Shared Service Center, BPO, or audit firm. Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls. Knowledge of local tax and accounting regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
