Your Role: The Material Planner will evalaute materials demand to support the manufacturing schedules to meet revenue targets. The incumbent will evalaute materials requirements to support the site's financial targets.
This position requires excellent communication and analytical skills and works closely with all departments to meet business goals and best-in-class customer service levels. The incumbent will work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Engineering and Facilities, and Information Technology to achieve the client’s timeline and department objectives. Your Profile: · Develops, finalizes, and communicates the material requirements plan for the site that meets customer demand on timely availability. · Plans, prepares, and controls material availability to ensure a flow of approved materials meeting production requirements considering storage conditions and capacity. · Create Process Orders in our ERP System to support the materials plan. · Ensures on time deliveries by follow up and working with brokers and freight forwarders as needed. · Advises management of material events that can potential disrupt the production plans. · Schedules timely delivery of materials; evaluates material supply and demand; establishes ROP/ROQs based on forecasts and storage capacity. · Coordinates interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, facilities and supply chain management. · Schedules and expedites the approval of materials to support the production schedule and other Project activities. · Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Supports continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety regulations. · Development and maintenance of SCM KPIs (inventory turns, schedule adherence, obsolete inventory, etc.). · Maintains and reports key site metrics and KPI presentations to key stakeholders and corporate leaders as required. · Measure supplier delivery performance and address opportunities. · Responsible for supporting the training of other teammates as needed. · Responsible for Change Control management activities related to Supply Chain such as: new source of supplies, change in specifications, vendor change, others. · Support the creation and maintenance of Master data and BOM's. · In addition, the jobholder is obliged to carry out other tasks as may be instructed by his/her superior - individual tasks which by their nature belong to his activities or result from operational requirements. · Inform their superior about any extraordinary events. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Self-starter, organized and detail-oriented. · Strong problem solving, data analysis and computer systems skills. · Good business acumen. · Good communication skills, both verbal and written. · Multi-tasking and excellent time management skills. Required Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in production scheduling, demand or MRP within a regulated manufacturing environment (cGMP, FDA, ISO). · Experience inputting and retrieving data in ERP or MRP systems.
SAP or Oracle preferred. · Strong understanding of material requirement concepts. · APICS and Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus. · Experience working in a dynamic high-paced environment. · Excel experienced. - Be prepared to demonstrate proficiency in Excel during the interview process. Target Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
