Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director, Animal Health Technology Solutions Procurement. This global leadership role will shape procurement strategy across direct materials, indirect services and capital investment, covering categories such as plastics, printed circuit board assemblies, microchips, electronic components, metals, external manufacturing and other technology solutions supporting animal health operations. Reporting to the Executive Director responsible for Indirect Services and Animal Health Technology Solutions Procurement, you will lead a global team of approximately six procurement professionals.
You will partner with senior leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, research and development, commercial operations, finance, quality, regulatory affairs, engineering and technology to deliver value, strengthen supply resilience and support business growth and transformation. Primary location: United States (Rahway) or EURAM (Netherlands, Austria, Germany or Spain) What you will do: Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following: Develop and deliver global procurement and category strategies across direct materials, indirect services and capital investment. Lead strategic sourcing, complex negotiations, contract management and supplier governance to deliver sustainable value, innovation and operational excellence.
Build trusted partnerships with senior business leaders and provide market, supplier and commercial insights to support business decisions and investment planning. Manage supplier performance, third-party risk, due diligence, business continuity and compliance across global operations and supply chains. Lead, coach and develop a global procurement team, creating an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
Advance procurement capabilities through process improvement, digital tools, data-informed decision-making and support for business transformation and integration activities What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, information technology, finance, procurement or a related discipline. At least seven years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or supplier relationship management, including leadership responsibilities. Proven experience developing and implementing global sourcing and category strategies and leading complex commercial negotiations.
Experience supporting technology-enabled products, electronics, manufacturing operations or direct-material supply chains. Knowledge of relevant categories such as electronic components, microchips, printed circuit board assemblies, plastics, metals, external manufacturing and technology solutions. The ability to lead global teams and work effectively across functions, regions and a complex organizational structure.
Strong commercial judgement, financial analysis, negotiation, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and senior-level influencing skills, together with resilience, curiosity and an innovative mindset. Professional fluency in English.
Experience in animal health, medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, technology or manufacturing would be an advantage Why Join Us?
