Associate Director, US Cell Therapy Sales Strategy & Analytics
US Cell Therapy Sales Strategy & Operations Field Based / Remote by Design
Position Summary
The Associate Director, US Cell Therapy Sales Strategy & Analytics serves as a strategic and analytical leader responsible for driving performance, planning effectiveness, and data-informed decision-making across the US Cell Therapy Sales organization.
This individual partners with Sales Leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders — including Marketing, Training, Medical, Market Access, Business Insights & Analytics, and the Cell Scheduling & Logistics Team — to translate organizational priorities into actionable strategies, robust analytics frameworks, and business insights that strengthen customer impact and expand patient access to life-changing cell therapies.
As a core member of the Sales Strategy & Operations team, this leader leverages advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, performance reporting, and market intelligence to proactively identify opportunities, entrench brand strategies, optimize resource deployment, and support the continued evolution of the Cell Therapy commercial model. This role requires a high level of coordination across Sales, Sales Strategy & Operations, and Marketing leadership to deliver on core capabilities and drive field force effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Analytics
- ✓Lead development and continuous evolution of sales strategy frameworks, including territory and account segmentation, customer prioritization, resource allocation, and field force deployment optimization to increase performance and bring brand strategies to life for the Sales team.
- ✓Define, build, and maintain robust analytics capabilities in partnership with Enterprise teams, including BI&A — such as dashboards, performance reporting, and KPI tracking — to monitor field execution, productivity, and business results across the Cell Therapy portfolio.
- ✓Leverage advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, and market insights to generate proactive, forward-looking business recommendations that guide leadership decisions and field actions.
- ✓Partner with Business Insights & Analytics and other Enterprise teams to transform complex data sets into clear, actionable strategies aligned to broader commercial planning priorities.
- ✓Support Incentive Compensation Plan design, dynamic deployment modeling, and promotional program strategy in close collaboration with Sales Strategy & Operations, the Sales Leadership team and Commercial leadership.
- ✓Lead business analyses that inform planning decisions, launch readiness, resource deployment, and organizational strategy.
Sales Performance & Field Effectiveness
- ✓Support Sales Leadership — including Executive Director of Sales, Director of Sales S&O, Senior Regional Business Directors and Area Business Managers — in preparation for all business reviews, including executive-level presentations, Workday Five Reporting, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs), monthly account reviews, monthly subnational performance reviews and Sales Meetings, such as Plan of Action (POA), among other initiatives.
- ✓Monitor and analyze field execution, resource utilization, promotional program effectiveness, and customer engagement trends; translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- ✓Develop and maintain sales reporting strategy and enhancements across reporting platforms (e.g., OneLook, Veeva/CRM), defining and prioritizing business requirements in partnership with Enterprise teams.
- ✓Communicate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates and strategic advice on how to increase overall effectiveness of field-facing teams.
- ✓Support sales force deployment and organizational optimization initiatives, including field structure analysis, territory optimization, and coverage modeling.
Technology & Capability Enablement
- ✓Define and prioritize business requirements for analytics platforms, AI-enabled planning tools, CRM systems, and other field-facing capabilities.
- ✓Partner with technology, analytics, and customer capability teams to enhance reporting infrastructure, sales force tools, and field planning resources.
- ✓Drive adoption of data-driven methodologies and digital solutions that enable more effective customer engagement and business planning.
- ✓Lead ongoing training and upskilling for Sales Leadership and field teams on new analytics capabilities, tools, and reporting platforms; gather feedback to continuously evolve field capabilities.
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership
- ✓Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, translating evolving business needs into scalable analytical and strategic solutions.
- ✓Work in close partnership with the Senior Commercial Field Operations Managers (CFOMs) in support of Sales team and lead Technology & Analytics Point (TAP) Team from field.
- ✓Support business planning processes and long-range strategic initiatives related to field structure, deployment models, and commercial excellence.
- ✓Represent the Sales organization on cross-functional teams and governance forums; build strong partnerships across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Marketing, Training, Legal, and Regulatory functions, among others.
- ✓Integrate cross-functional needs from Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and Cell Therapy Operations to ensure strategic alignment across all customer-facing functions.
- ✓Influence and drive alignment across stakeholders without direct authority in a highly matrixed environment.
Qualifications
Education
- ✓Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
- ✓MBA, M.S., or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- ✓7+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, commercial strategy, sales operations, business analytics, or related functions.
- ✓Demonstrated experience in sales strategy, analytics, deployment planning, business planning, or commercial excellence roles.
- ✓At least 2 years of experience in a function outside of direct pharmaceutical sales (e.g., marketing, sales operations, analytics, or sales training).
- ✓Experience supporting oncology, hematology, cell therapy, specialty therapeutics, or other complex treatment environments strongly preferred.
- ✓Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic decision-making within a matrix organization.
- ✓Experience supporting large-scale business initiatives, field communications, or product launch-related activities preferred.
Skills & Technical Proficiency
- ✓Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong confidence in presenting data and insights to stakeholders at all levels
- ✓Strategic planning and business acumen with the ability to connect strategy to operational execution
- ✓Commercial analytics, performance reporting, and dashboard development
- ✓AI-enabled business planning and decision-support tools
- ✓Working knowledge of commercial systems and reporting tools: Veeva/Salesforce CRM, OneLook, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant data blending platforms

- ✓Project leadership, change management, and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
