Trainer Assessor Sterile Services

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sterile Services professional to join our fantastic Training Team as a Trainer Assessor. This is a brilliant opportunity to share your knowledge, support others to grow, and help maintain high standards of quality, safety and compliance across our sites.You do not need to already hold teaching or assessing qualifications, but you must be willing to work towards and achieve them. What matters most is your sterile services experience, your enthusiasm for helping others learn, and your commitment to doing things well.
About the Role
As a Trainer Assessor, you will plan, deliver, assess and evaluate technical training across all aspects of decontamination. You will support employees and apprenticeship learners to build their knowledge, skills and confidence, while helping sites achieve quality, compliance, production and Health & Safety standards.
What you will be doing
Deliver practical technical training in decontamination across site areas, job roles and shift patterns.
Support employees and learners to apply safe, compliant and effective working practices.
Maintain training records, training matrices and learner documentation in line with quality and GDPR requirements.
Carry out training reviews, site audits, skills scans and progress reviews to identify and address training needs.
Manage a caseload of apprenticeship learners, supporting their progression, off-the-job learning, functional skills and preparation for End Point Assessment.
Work closely with managers, learners and colleagues to provide clear communication, early support and positive outcomes.
Take part in standardisation meetings, mandatory training and ongoing CPD to keep your own practice current.
What we are looking for
A minimum of two years’ experience working as a Sterile Services Technician or within a Sterile Services Department.
A Level 2 qualification in decontamination, or equivalent occupational knowledge and experience.
A good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills at Level 2 or equivalent.
Basic IT skills and confidence using systems to record and monitor training activity.
A positive, supportive approach to developing others and building strong working relationships.Willingness to work towards and achieve teaching and assessing qualifications, including Level 3 Education and Training and CAVA or equivalent, if not already held.
