Pay Range: $69,800.00 - $114,800.00 Position Summary: The Kit Assembly Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of a kit assembly work team.
Under the direction of the Area Manager, this role leads a team of 4-8 direct reports, directing personnel and prioritizing assembly assignments to complete production orders and ensure on-time delivery to customers. The Supervisor trains new personnel on relevant SOPs, collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors direct reports, and directly assists in kit assembly activities as needed. Key Responsibilities: Supervise personnel and provide guidance to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports and provide performance and career development feedback. Author, review, and approve controlled documents related to product kitting. Actively promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and manage kit assembly inventory. Complete assigned action items related to change control, nonconformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Review and compile daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Coordinate with adjacent department leaders to troubleshoot kit-related issues. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of kit assembly processes and participate in assembly activities when necessary. Follow all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations.
Lead daily tier board meetings. Participate in area 5S and Gemba walk activities. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience; Or, an Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet production deadlines. Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
Exposure to standard production equipment, materials, and laboratory/manufacturing processes. Minimal travel required. Must adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 5-50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive assembly tasks for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for handling components, tools, and assembly equipment.
Ability to bend, reach, and move materials throughout the work area as needed.
