Role Summary
The Data Scientist II will support operational analytics across PDS to ensure analytics products continue to address key business needs. The role will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of analytical solutions, with opportunities to work on advanced analytics capabilities such as predictive modelling, simulation, and optimization. The Data Scientist II should have a strong interest in solving business problems, analysing data, and supporting the development of scalable analytics solutions that drive value for PDS and ultimately benefit patients around the world.
Roles & Responsibilities
- ✓Conduct analysis of structured and unstructured data to generate insights and recommendations aligned with PDS priorities and business objectives.
- ✓Partner with stakeholders and senior team members to understand business problems, define requirements, and support the development of data models, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- ✓Develop, maintain, and enhance analytics solutions that address business challenges using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques.
- ✓Support the automation and improvement of existing analytics products and processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
- ✓Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to support data infrastructure, data pipelines, and data quality initiatives required for analytical solutions.
- ✓Prepare reports, dashboards, visualisations, and presentations to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- ✓Follow established technical best practices, including code version control, documentation, testing, and deployment standards.
- ✓Contribute to analytics projects as an individual contributor while continuously developing technical and business domain expertise.
- ✓Work hours that provide sufficient overlap with standard East Coast US working hours.
Skills & Competencies
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data and identify actionable insights.
- ✓Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply analytical techniques to solve business problems.
- ✓Working knowledge of statistical analysis methods and data science techniques.
- ✓Ability to manage assigned tasks effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- ✓Familiarity with digital analytics platforms, data visualisation tools, and version control practices.
- ✓Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- ✓Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- ✓Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
