THE OPPORTUNITY As Commercial Quality Expert , you will support the Commercial Quality function for Boehringer Ingelheim Netherlands (Human Pharma) and Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Netherlands BV (Animal Health) . In this role, you are accountable for ensuring that all quality, compliance, and licensing requirements are met, while safeguarding the consistent supply of high‑quality medicinal products to patients and customers in the Netherlands.
Moreover, you will ensure that all Good Distribution Practices (GDP)‑related activities at the Dutch Business Operations Unit are performed in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as Boehringer Ingelheim Corporate and Regional requirements. Acting as supporting Responsible Person (RP) for the Human Pharma and Animal health wholesale licenses , you play a critical role in maintaining regulatory trust, product quality, and business continuity. This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Commerial Quality Lead.

HOW YOU’LL FIT IN: Ensure compliance with GDP, local regulations, and Corporate Quality requirements through an effective local Quality Management System. Safeguard product quality and availability by overseeing batch acceptance and release (where applicable), managing deviations, complaints, recalls, and final product disposition.
Manage quality oversight of suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customers, ensuring qualification, licensing compliance, and effective resolution of quality and supply issues. Drive inspection readiness and continuous improvement by leading self‑inspections, audits, regulatory interactions, and CAPA follow‑up. YOU BRING: Masters degree in a field related to Pharmaceutics.
Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in QA/QC areas. Strong knowledge of Good Distribution Practices regulations/previous experience as RP in the dutch market. Demonstrates a commitment to quality in all work.

Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is able to appropriately balance compliance and business needs to ensure problems are identified, clearly articulated and resolved with the right sensitivity to timing, risk consideration and overall business impact.
