About this role

Zifo is seeking a pragmatic and delivery-focused Informatics Project Manager to support technology and informatics initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotech customers. This role is well suited for a project manager who can bring structure, ownership, clear communication, and stakeholder coordination to complex technology projects, while continuing to build deeper domain expertise over time. The IPM will work with business analysts, technical teams, vendor partners, customer stakeholders, and global delivery teams to plan, execute, track, and successfully deliver informatics and technology-enabled business solutions.

Lead day-to-day project planning, execution, tracking, and coordination across business, technical, vendor, and customer teams Create and maintain practical project plans, schedules, RAID logs, action trackers, status reports, and meeting notes Manage project scope, priorities, risks, issues, dependencies, timelines, and resource needs with appropriate escalation Facilitate regular project meetings, follow up on actions, and ensure stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and blockers Coordinate with business analysts and technical teams to support requirements discussions, gap analysis, process mapping, testing, deployment, and transition activities Work with vendor and customer teams to align deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and acceptance criteria Prepare concise project communications and status updates for internal leadership and customer stakeholders Support Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches based on customer and project needs Build trusted working relationships with globally distributed teams and contribute to continuous improvement in delivery practices We are curious about YOU! We get excited about Project Managers who have: Practical project management experience in technology, software, IT services, informatics, life sciences, or another regulated/structured delivery environment Good working knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methods such as Agile, Scrum, hybrid, or waterfall Ability to manage project schedules, actions, risks, issues, dependencies, scope, and stakeholder communications Professional English communication skills sufficient to participate in meetings, write clear updates, and collaborate with global teams; fluency is preferred but not mandatory Strong Spanish communication skills; Portuguese is a plus depending on country/location Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams Comfort working with ambiguity, learning new domains quickly, and asking the right questions to move work forward Hands-on experience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Visio, or similar project collaboration tools Preferred, but not mandatory: Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, R&D, laboratory informatics, clinical systems, manufacturing QC, medical devices, or another regulated industry Exposure to drug discovery, development, laboratory workflows, or scientific data management Experience supporting implementation or integration of COTS, SaaS, cloud-based, or enterprise business applications Project management certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, or equivalent practical training What you bring to the table: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field Typically 5+ years of project management, business technology, implementation, or delivery coordination experience; candidates with strong ownership and relevant delivery experience will also be considered Experience working with client-facing or stakeholder-facing delivery teams, preferably in a global services environment Working understanding of project governance, planning, risk management, status reporting, and delivery controls Ability to communicate clearly in English in professional settings, with willingness to continuously improve English proficiency through practice and coaching Strong written communication, documentation discipline, follow-through, and attention to detail Ability to collaborate across time zones with teams in LATAM, North America, India, and customer locations Curiosity, adaptability, ownership mindset, and willingness to grow into the life sciences informatics domain
