Now we are hiring for a Compliance Lead and Data Protection Officer for cluster countries (Thailand, Singapore & Malaysia) based in Amgen Thailand . Live What you will do Purpose: Act as the strategic Compliance and Data Privacy partner for Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, establishing and executing country priorities based on local business needs and risk profiles while maintaining alignment with the overarching SEA and JAPAC strategy. Results: Partner with the business to enable growth within compliant and ethical guardrails through effective compliance and privacy programs, risk-based guidance, monitoring, remediation, and training, while promoting a culture of continuous process improvement.
Organizational Contribution: Strengthen the culture of integrity, enable informed business decisions, mitigate enterprise risk and provide independent compliance and privacy judgement through trusted affiliate leadership partnership. Responsibilities: Partner with affiliate leadership to embed compliance, ethics, and data privacy into business strategy and operations across Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Establish and execute country compliance and privacy priorities based on local business needs and risk profiles, while maintaining alignment with SEA and JAPAC strategy.
Serve as a full member of each affiliate leadership team with formal decision-making authority and accountability within the compliance and privacy remit. Provide independent, risk-based judgement & advice to broader affiliate business and governance decisions, ensuring compliance and privacy considerations are appropriately reflected in plans and execution. Lead the strategic implementation and localization of global compliance and privacy programs (e.g. risk assessments, policy and system enhancements, and effective training initiatives to ensure alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations.
Provide leadership and oversight of risk-based monitoring, audits, investigations, and remediation activities, Serve as DPO for Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia and oversee privacy compliance, including ROPA management, privacy training and personal data processing reviews. Escalate or consult with the SEA Cluster Head for matters involving material/significant risk, cross-market implications or matters requiring SEA LT consideration; current transaction volumes indicate fewer than 5% require Sea-level approval. Win What we expect of you Preferred Requirements Bachelor degree level At least ~ 8-10 years working experience preferred Oral and written communication proficiency in English Strong communication and engagement skills – oral, written – in Thai language High degree of ethics and integrity Demonstrated profound knowledge of pharma industry and understanding of business objectives Knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations and company policies.
