The Position US Business Development Leader, Pharma As the US Business Development Leader for Pharma COE, you will be accountable for developing commercialization partnerships and signing agreements with internal and external pharma customers that drive adoption of high medical value diagnostic assays in specified therapeutic areas. This role also ensures that the overall commercial collaborations with pharma partners result in highly satisfied customers that will continue to look to Roche as their key partner for biomarker development and commercialization.

Job Responsibilities Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with potential RDC pharma partners (internal and external) and their management, including commercial and business development leaders, in a manner that builds trust and enhances Roche’s reputation in the market. Engage with global PHCS business development and lifecycle team counterparts to advance US partnership opportunities as required throughout the process. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop compelling and innovative proposals for commercialization services for each of our pharma customer collaboration programs Drive successful close of these partnership deals in alignment with the priorities of the RDC franchises and successfully transition these to the alliance manager and functional project team.

Facilitates communications and interactions with internal Roche colleagues, both locally and globally, throughout the global development, contracting and commercialization processes. Stays abreast of key trends and developments in US diagnostics & therapy development through interaction with internal and external subject matter experts. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related clinical field 7+ years previous related experience (marketing, sales and/or clinical field) Excellent oral and written communication capable of engaging senior executives and other audiences Broad awareness of the Diagnostics, Biotech, and/or Pharmaceuticals Industry Strong collaboration skills capable of influencing internal and other decision-makers Strong strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to innovate and identify business opportunities Able to travel up to 30% Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Business, Marketing, or related clinical field preferred Good understanding of US access environment for diagnostics Experience in leading cross functional teams to execute all aspects of partnerships, with experience either in the pharma industry or working with pharma partners preferred Deep understanding of key drivers of value for pharma partners in commercialization; outstanding analytic and strategic skills Good understanding of all associated relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements Location The home office for this role is located in Indianapolis, IN.

On-site presence is expected at least 3 days a week. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is 133,800-248,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
