About this role

The Position Drive and lead team on: Business operations and expansion across Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar (CLM) by effectively collaborating with local partner. Outsourcing strategy and operations for Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam's Established Products (EP) in partnership with selected local partner. Strategic retail channel operations in Vietnam to ensure competitive positioning and market share growth.

Tasks & Responsibilities Manage Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar (CLM) business: Manage Boehringer Ingelheim business in CLM via local partners. Setting and aligning targets with local partners. Closely monitoring partners' performance via routine business planning process and monthly business review to ensure achievement of target via clear KPIs.

Business development: Analyze macro-environmental and healthcare trends to shape the long-term product portfolio strategy and market entry models for further development business in CLM. Strategic Roadmap: Formulate and drive the 3–5-year strategic business plan for the CLM region, aligning with Boehringer Ingelheim’s regional and global objectives. Governance & Alignment: Establish a high-level governance framework with local partners to ensure strategic alignment, compliance, and mutual long-term growth.

2. Manage out-sourcing of Established Products (EP): Manage Out-sourcing of Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam's Established Products (EP) to selected local partner. Lifecycle Strategy: Architect the long-term outsourcing and lifecycle management strategy for Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam's Established Products to maximize profitability during the products' mature phases.

Partnership Optimization: Drive the strategic evolution of the partnership model with selected local partner, moving beyond transactional management to a value-creation partnership. Supervising Operation: Review and input to annual products' plan from selected local partner. Monitor performance, payment terms and operational compliance.

3. External customers/partners’ relationship: Manage relationships with key individual stakeholders and customer groups to develop Boehringer Ingelheim's reputation as a patient-centric, and customer focused organization. Manage relationships with business partners with a focus on continuous improvement, optimization and innovation.

4. Manage business in Vietnam Retail Channel: Channel Strategy Design: Design and champion the long-term retail and pharmacy channel strategy in Vietnam, anticipating future market shifts and competitor moves. Key Account Partnerships: Foster strategic, top-to-top relationships with major pharmacy chains and retail key accounts to secure premium positioning and collaborative growth initiatives.

Innovative Go-To-Market: Pioneer innovative commercial approaches (e.g., omnichannel integration, digital health partnerships, patient-centric retail programs) to disrupt the market and capture share. Market Intelligence: Lead deep-dive market analytics to anticipate pricing dynamics, policy impacts on retail, and long-term brand positioning. 5.

People/Leadership: Build an effective Strategic Partnership team committed to delivering ambitious targets and achieving both short-term and long-term business objectives. Engage the team to the portfolio strategy and provide clarity on the goals and objectives to be achieved by the team. Ensure development of skills and abilities through ongoing feedback, coaching and training / development opportunities for the team.

Ensure implementation and compliance to the Performance Management / Talent Management / Compensation Planning /BI People timelines for the year. Ensure that there are development plans for direct reports and that they are being implemented on the agreed timelines. Ensure that talents are properly identified and that they are discussed in the calibration and succession plans.

Requirements Bachelors’ Degree, major in Business Administration and/or Pharmacy. Minimum 5 years of commercial, marketing, and/or sales experience, preferrable experience in Retail channel management and experience in CLM would be an advantage. People/team management experience Proven track record of managing distributors or third-party service partners.

Strong understanding of local market access landscape, understand the competition and awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. Strong business and Marketing Acumen, Customer Orientation, Strategy Development, Project Management, Effective Execution, Relationship Management. Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to prepare topics and to explain them in a variety of communication settings and styles to business partners and project stakeholders.

Proficiency for English in professional level and fluent in Vietnamese are required.
