Posted Position Title Global AVS Digital Architect Sr. Leader – International Markets Role Summary/Purpose Are you a visionary leader with a passion for digital health and innovative technology? Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking a Senior Leader for Global AVS (Alcon Vision Suite) Digital Integrations.

In this critical role, you will lead the charge in shaping and advancing the Alcon Vision Suite (AVS) Ecosystem Connectivity and Integrations. You will play a pivotal role in integrating cutting-edge digital health & services solutions, enhancing customer workflows, and optimizing end-to-end processes across diverse global markets. As the Senior Leader, you will set strategic goals and drive the operational readiness of our global AVS initiatives.

Your leadership will ensure that our projects and customer integrations are executed flawlessly, meeting the highest standards of excellence. You will inspire a talented team, foster collaboration with cross-functional partners, and develop robust systems to track and improve our integration efforts. Essential Responsibilities Leadership and operating model • Set regional vision, priorities, goals, and operating rhythm for Digital Architects, Project Managers, and technical specialists. • Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team; clarify ownership, handoffs, escalations, and documentation expectations. • Translate global AVS and Intelligent Services priorities into practical regional execution plans. Digital architecture, connectivity, and integrations • Own the regional AVS integration process for AVS products, legacy & Unity connected medical devices, and related software or SaaS/SaMD offerings. • Drive customer connectivity and interoperability involving TCP/IP, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, EHR/EMR, PACS, firewalls, routers, VPNs, servers, and related network requirements. • Define customer data-flow maps and integration designs that support workflow, security, privacy, and operational readiness. Project execution and customer readiness • Oversee project plans, technical surveys, readiness documentation, SOPs, implementation playbooks, SOW support, and customer expectation-setting. • Ensure installation phases, risk management, issue tracking, change management, status reporting, and confirmed handoffs are completed on time. • Act as regional escalation leader for complex technical, customer, operational, or cross-functional integration issues.

Performance and cross-functional alignment • Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs for installation timing, integration quality, support performance, proactive monitoring, and customer experience. • Identify recurring gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement across tools, processes, documentation, and staffing. • Partner with Commercial, Service, Clinical, Legal, R&D, Product Engineering, IT, Security/Privacy, customers, and third-party vendors to deliver integrated outcomes. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience. • 7+ years leading technical, architecture, project delivery, or cross-functional digital integration teams; 10+ years in IT platforms, healthcare technology, or systems integration preferred. • 5+ years working with healthcare customers and delivering integration solutions in complex customer environments. • Experience with medical device or healthcare IT environments, including customer service, customer satisfaction, and contractual commitments. • Proven project management discipline, including plans, risks, issues, change management, documentation, and stakeholder alignment. • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills with executive, technical, and non-technical audiences. • Fluency in Englis • Support occasional after-hours needs • Travel up to 25-30% as required. Desired Characteristics • Network, interoperability, AI, and/or field certifications such as CISCO, AWS, DICOM, HL7, or FHIR. • PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project/program management certification. • Experience with healthcare security and privacy requirements, including GDPR, BAA, HIPAA, HITECH, , network security, and data privacy • Experience with DICOM and/or HL7; familiarity with FHIR, EHR/EMR, PACS, customer networks, firewalls, VPNs, servers, and related connectivity requirements. • Change management experience • Additional preferred languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, & German ATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent Worker If you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.
