J&J MedTech's commercial transformation program is designed to unify Sales, Marketing, Customer Pricing & Quoting (CPQ), Professional Relations & Operations (PR&O), Customer Service, and Service & Repair into a single AI-powered platform built on Microsoft Dynamics technologies. It aims to replace fragmented systems, disconnected processes, and siloed data with one integrated customer engagement ecosystem. This person will serve as the global technical platform leader for the MedTech Global CXM Platform in Microsoft Dynamics, creating a connected ecosystem of platform, data, and intelligence across MSD, Teams, Outlook, Co-Pilot, and additional interconnected global commercial platforms.
This role focuses specifically on Marketing platform experiences and will be responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, architecture, engineering standards, and platform capabilities that power the future of AI-driven commercialization experiences across MedTech. Bridge business needs and the right technology, owning end-to-end system reliability and future product strategy, driving adoption, safeguard performance, and enabling the site to run seamlessly - delivering sustained value to our patients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and coordination of education platform transformation technology solutions, working with enterprise product teams and delivery partners to support deployment and ongoing operations in alignment with segment and enterprise IT strategies. Translate education priorities, operational challenges, and risks into a business-led technology roadmap spanning short- and mid-term horizons (0–5 years), using a business-first technology perspective and ensuring alignment with segment product and business strategies. Serve as the trusted technology partner and primary JJT point of contact for site leadership and key business stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration between medtech global businesses, and technology teams and coordinating digital topics and escalations.
Own the identification, translation, prioritization, delivery, and lifecycle management of site technology demand and capabilities, identifying capability gaps, pain points, and opportunities early while balancing measurable business value, cost, risk, resources, and dependencies. Ensure local technology solutions are aligned to standard enterprise product categories, driving consistency, scalability, and optimization across the digital ecosystem. Contribute to a global standardized eco-system of systems/applications.
Develop and maintain site IT roadmap, help shape business case development and investment justification in partnership with business and finance stakeholders. Drive speed‑to‑value through effective execution models, including Agile and iterative delivery practices where appropriate. Establish and lead regular cadence of communications with site stakeholders to provide visibility into roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Partner with External vendors to ensure appropriate resourcing, delivery quality, adherence to timelines and budgets, and active governance of partner performance. Accountable for IT financial management, including operating budgets, total cost of ownership, year‑over‑year cost optimization, and alignment with enterprise planning processes. Identify and lead opportunities to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and cost effectiveness of plant technology solutions.
Own end-to-end operational performance and technology-related continuity for the site, including incident management, escalation coordination, root cause analysis, service governance, service-level adherence, risk management, and continuous improvement of reliability metrics. Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, reliability, and technology lifecycle management practices are embedded into site roadmaps, maintaining visibility and active mitigation of technical debt, compliance requirements, and critical dependencies. Provide site technology leadership and coordinate internal team members and vendors to deliver consistent, high-quality IT services, with direct people-management accountability where assigned.
Identify, promote, and drive innovation opportunities that address site priorities, close capability gaps, and create measurable business value. Qualifications & Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 7 years of related experience in IT required.
Proven experience leading technology delivery and support in a regulated manufacturing environment, operations, or industrial environment. Strong ability to translate business needs into technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and executable plans. Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and influencing across multiple functions.
Demonstrated strength in financial management, including budgeting, cost optimization, and total cost of ownership. Experience managing complexity, multiple concurrent initiatives, and competing priorities in a matrixed environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, coaching contributors, and coordinating performance across internal teams and external partners; direct people-management experience is preferred where the role includes assigned reports.
Experience with project management or Agile methodologies. Preferred / Domain Experience Experience in medtech, pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain business processes and associated technology solutions.
Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk management, and technology lifecycle management concepts in operational environments. Experience working with external vendors and global or enterprise IT service organizations. Familiarity with XR/VR, LMS systems, digital ecosystems, and CRM Familiarity with AI concepts and technology innovation for business value creation.
