Job Title: Specialist / Senior Specialist - SAP Analytics Cloud, Datasphere GCL: D2/D3 Introduction to role: Are you ready to turn complex enterprise data into decisions that accelerate our mission for patients? As a Specialist or Senior Specialist in SAP Analytics Cloud and Datasphere, you will shape how we transform data into trusted insights that guide the business at speed and scale. How would you use the intelligent capabilities of SAC and Datasphere models to turn messy data into reliable benchmarks that leaders act on with con fidence? Accountabilities: SAC Application Development: Design and deliver KPI-led stories and analytic applications in live and import modes that drive clear decisions and measurable outcomes.
Datasphere Modelling and Governance: Develop consolidated, consistent, and managed frameworks of data to support enterprise analytics with consistency, security, and reusability. Predictive and Advanced Visualizations: Apply SAC Smart features, predictive scenarios, R-visualizations, and external libraries to surface insights that change business trajectories. Integration and Connectivity: Link SAP and non-SAP data with SAC and Datasphere, ensuring seamless integration with upstream processes and consistent, up-to-date analytics.
Performance and Quality: Optimize performance across SAC and Datasphere, identifying bottlenecks, implementing tuning strategies, and setting standards for software quality. Business Objects Reporting: Develop and maintain Universes, reports, and dashboards aligned to enterprise data standards to support robust reporting needs. Agile Delivery and Documentation: Operate within agile and scrum frameworks, documenting models, data flows, and application logic for reliable, repeatable delivery.
Technical Leadership and Coaching: Provide hands-on leadership, reviews, and mentorship to uplift team capability in SAC, Datasphere, scripting, and analytics guidelines. Multi-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into scalable builds, partnering with Finance, Operations, and technology teams to ensure adoption and value. Scripting and Automation: Apply SQL, Python, and JavaScript to build custom widgets, automate data orchestration, and accelerate delivery of analytics products.
Essential Skills/Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable degree. Overall, 10-12 years of experience and at least 2-3 years’ experience working on SAP SAC / Datasphere solutions as a Consultant, Analyst, Developer or relevant role. Demonstrable experience crafting and implementing solutions using SAC for reporting, as well as integrating with SAP Datasphere and upstream processes.
Expertise with SAC predictive functionality, Experienced features (Hard-working Assist, Inquisitive Predict, Sensible Discovery), advanced story canvases, data blending, cross-calculations, input controls, and linked analysis. Skilled in connecting SAC and Datasphere to varied data sources, including SAP HANA, and external databases. Proficiency in SAP Datasphere for building unified, harmonized, and governed data models to serve enterprise analytics.
In-depth understanding of data integration and ETL processes across SAC, Datasphere, and other analytics platforms. Advanced scripting abilities in SQL, Python, and JavaScript to enable data manipulation and automation within both SAC and Datasphere environments. Experience with SAC scripting for creating custom widgets and analytics applications, as well as automating data flows in Datasphere.
Understanding of SAP related Finance and/or Operations processes will be valued. Certification in one or more of the following will be appreciated: SAC Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Low-Code/No-Code Developer. Good communication skills and ability to work in an Agile environment.
Energetic, organised and self-motivated. Fluent in business English. Strong experience in Datasphere and Finance process knowledge which mean you should be able to drive use case discussion independently.
Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience designing composite and federated models in SAP Datasphere for cross-system analytics. Proven track record optimizing performance and scalability across SAC and Datasphere in global environments. Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Universes and enterprise reporting migrations.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and lineage for regulated analytics use cases. Demonstrated ability to define UX and visualization standards that drive adoption and self-service. Exposure to life sciences or other highly regulated industries.
