THE OPPORTUNITY As our Area Head HP (Human Pharma) , you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Cardio Renal Metabolism (CRM) performance across your designated region and therapeutic area. You will provide strategic direction and support your team to drive commercial success and exceptional customer engagement.
This role leads Primary Care, Specialist, and Strategic Account commercial teams, translating therapeutic area (TA) strategy into strong commercial outcomes for the specific CRM products. Apart from being responsible for building, leading and developing your team, you will interact and work closely with many different internal teams such as: Brand Management, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Compliance and more. We are looking for Area Heads for the following three regions: North Holland, Randstad and South-Holland.

HOW YOU’LL FIT IN: Act as the senior CRM commercial interface with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Omnichannel, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Translate therapeutic area strategy into clear commercial priorities, objectives, and execution plans. Create and implement a regional sales plan, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
Drive sales and market shares objectives while actively looking for new business opportunities together with the team. Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and team targets. Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and execute business plans, including win-win partnerships.
Coach the team with a focus on driving customer engagement by providing on-going feedback and leveraging technologies and tools. Deliver compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs and market conditions. Leverage and communicate data effectively to inform sales strategies and customer interactions.
YOU BRING: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field. At least 8 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 3-5 years in a people management role. Experience in leading diverse sales teams - across Primary Care and Specialist segments is an advantage.
Strong expertise in sales leadership and strategic account management. Solid networks and understanding of the Dutch Healthcare system. Proficiency in Dutch and English.
Strong business acumen. Ability to evaluate regional market dynamics, competitor activity, and financial drivers to make informed decisions that maximize CRM market share. Data-driven mindset with expertise in sales execution, account management, and performance optimization.
Advanced coaching skills and a people-centric approach focused on performance and capability growth. Ability to work with Marketing, Omnichannel, and other cross-functional teams, i.e. to share insights from the field to support broader business initiatives You possess a valid driver’s license.
