As the Financial Controls and Compliance NOCC Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in strengthening the financial controls environment across the Novartis Operations Center in Mexico. Acting as a trusted advisor to Finance, Compliance, and Global Assurance leadership, you will drive risk-based assurance activities, leverage AI-powered analytics to identify emerging risks, and help ensure the highest standards of financial integrity, governance, and compliance.
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, drive continuous improvement, and help build a modern, digitally enabled assurance capability within Novartis. Job Description Lead NOCC assurance activities focused on priority risks and key controls outside standard SOX management testing Support NFCM cycle activities, including risk assessment scoping, ITAC completeness reviews, statutory adjustments, and SOX404 attestation support Conduct targeted quality reviews and deep-dive assessments across NOCC processes, local controls, and higher-risk operational areas Leverage AI, FAN analytics, continuous monitoring, and digital tools to identify emerging risks, trends, control deficiencies, and anomalies Monitor remediation activities and control execution through NFCM Runbook, GRC Process Controls, and related governance platforms Partner with CFOs, FRA, FC&C, Internal Audit, control owners, and Global Assurance stakeholders to strengthen the control environment and drive accountability Translate complex risk findings into practical management actions and support agile assurance reviews across local, regional, and global priorities Essential Requirements University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controls, assurance, internal audit, SOX/ICFR, risk management, or finance governance within a multinational environment Strong knowledge of NFCM, SOX404, IT General Application Controls (ITACs), GRC Process Controls, control execution, and remediation frameworks Experience conducting risk assessments, quality reviews, assurance engagements, and control effectiveness evaluations Fluent English communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex risk topics into clear business actions Desirable Requirements MBA, advanced degree, or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent Experience with SAP, risk management platforms, data analytics, AI-enabled monitoring solutions, FAN analytics, or automation technologies Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.
