Job Function: MedTech Sales Job Sub Function: Clinical Sales – Surgeons (Commission) Job Category: Business Enablement/Support All Job Posting Locations: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Job Description: Assists in the attainment of established sales goals including market share objectives in prescribed territory. Conducts and implements Market Development and Field Marketing activities.
Schedules appointments and makes preplanned sales presentations to customers. Demonstrates proper use of products to physicians. Develops customer and product focused presentation packages for sales.
Promotes and coordinates Professional Education activities to enhance the knowledge of Health care professionals. Acts as the direct line to customers. Makes regular visits to customer locations to gather information on orders and market conditions.
Performs contract and/or tender management activities. Targets and manages assigned territory while operating within an assigned budget. Coordinates with the logistics team to ensure product availability.
Executes national, regional and local promotional activities that are designed to advance sales in specific product lines or areas. Follows up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction. Develops and maintains sales forecasts for business planning by account and submits to management.
Prepares sales reports and documents as required. Provides management with customer feedback and marketplace information. Identifies potential impacts to business.
This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions. Key Responsibilities Business & Sales Performance Deliver and exceed territory sales objectives and business goals. Drive growth across the Surgery portfolio including Wound Closure, Biosurgery, Energy, Endomechanical, and strategic new product launches.
Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account plans. Identify new business opportunities within existing and new accounts. Drive competitive conversions and procedural adoption opportunities.
Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline and forecasting. Clinical Selling & Surgeon Engagement Build trusted partnerships with surgeons, KOLs, and healthcare providers. Conduct evidence-based clinical discussions that support therapy adoption and practice change.
Support product evaluations, case observations, clinical workshops, and procedural training. Deliver product demonstrations and in-service education programs for surgical teams. Act as a clinical expert during adoption and conversion initiatives.
Strategic Account Management Develop strong relationships with surgeons, nursing leadership, operating theatre teams, procurement, materials management, and hospital administration. Create and execute account growth strategies to maximize portfolio penetration. Navigate complex stakeholder environments to support long-term business growth.
Support tender activities, commercial negotiations, and equipment placement initiatives where applicable. Clinical Expertise & Market Development Maintain advanced knowledge of clinical procedures, disease states, product applications, and emerging surgical technologies. Leverage clinical evidence to support customer decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
Identify market trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities. Support local educational activities, scientific programs, and KOL development initiatives. Leadership & Capability Building Serve as a role model for commercial excellence and ethical selling practices.
Mentor and support onboarding of new representatives. Share best practices and clinical expertise across the broader Surgery team. Lead selected projects, training initiatives, or product launch activities.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Professional Education, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance. Desired Experience: 2-5 years of sales experience from MedTech background Sales experience into Pharma can also be considered.
