Director, Commercial Development, China Growth China Join Lonza's ADS business and play a key role in shaping our commercial growth strategy across China. Serving as a commercial lead for Lonza ADS platform’s offering in China. This customer-facing role drives commercial strategy execution and leads key growth initiatives to expand market presence.
This is an office ‑ first role. Working together in person supports close, real ‑ time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do: Strengthen and execute ADS’s strategic growth plan for China including accountability of service offering and target submarkets Provide expertise during customer engagements, industry conferences, internal discussions, and strategic communications Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Portfolio Management to identify best targets for our services from a technical and business perspective and improve our market reach Identify market opportunities and commercial strategies to strengthen Lonza's leadership position across the ADS service offering and differentiate the company from local competitors.
Re-imagine business models: devise new business models to improve service offerings and promote long-term growth Support Sales teams in identifying, qualifying, and securing opportunities, including the development of territory and account strategies Maintain close engagement with internal global stakeholders (Operations, PM and R&D) to ensure a deep understanding of capabilities, capacity, technical advancements, and future investment plans Partner with Portfolio Management to define and execute short-, mid-, and long-term commercial objectives, aligning market demand with strategic and operational priorities Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, emerging technologies, and customer demand to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across Lonza Platforms operating in China to accelerate growth of Lonza ADS Act as commercial lead in growth projects Maintains and develops an academic and industry network supporting Lonza’s Growth ambitions in China What we are looking for: Significant commercial leadership experience within the CDMO, biopharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industry. Strong understanding of the China market and its biopharmaceutical ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across complex, global, cross-functional organizations. Established academic and industry network within China. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Strong strategic thinking, program management, and organizational capabilities. Experience supporting global organizations with commercial activities in China is preferred. About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
