This is a 6 months contract.

The Packing and Dispensing Operative mainly handles placing materials into bottles, vials, and columns. They ensure packaging meets high standards while adhering to health and safety rules and satisfying customer requirements.

This role also includes coordinating material transfers, selecting shipments, handling material requisitions, conducting cycle counts, and carrying out packing, dispensing, and packaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Packing, Dispensing, and Wrapping

✓Pack and dispense materials and products according to specifications and quality standards.
✓Print labels adhering to the Certificate of Analysis and packing request details for the pack size.
✓Ensure that all packaged goods are labelled accurately, sealed, bagged and meet regulatory requirements.
✓Maintain a clean and organised packing area to support efficient operations.
✓Choose and order solvents needed for dispensing oils, verifying the vacuum oven/freeze drier is current on preventative maintenance, signed, dated, clean, and ready to operate.
✓Dissolve material using the dispensing calculator and dispense material with new batch numbers into required pack sizes.
✓Prepare the vacuum oven/freeze drier for the dispensing run and flush with Argon before each dispensing run is weighed for residual solvent analysis.
✓Ensure all Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements are followed throughout all packing and dispensing operations.
✓Complete all required documentation and batch records accurately and legibly, maintaining full traceability of materials.
✓Perform quality assurance checks on finished products to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.

Cycle Counts and Stock Control

✓Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
✓Investigate and address inconsistencies between physical counts and inventory records.
✓Collaborate with the inventory management team to implement guidelines for stock control.
✓Report inventory anomalies and implement corrective actions as required.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

✓Follow all health and safety protocols and inform management of any incidents, hazards, or near-misses.
✓Maintain awareness of waste disposal procedures and ensure accurate segregation and disposal of materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
✓Participate in training and development activities to maintain proficiency and stay updated on procedural changes.

Requirements

✓High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
✓Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
✓Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory software.
✓Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
✓Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
✓Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
