Role Description The Sr Associate Software Engineer - Full Stack will join a Global Supply Chain Data & Analytics team that partners with supply chain strategy, network, planning, and operations functions.
The team builds and sustains enterprise technology solutions that help business users analyze complex information, evaluate scenarios, and make timely operational and strategic decisions. In this role, you will independently own defined production components across frontend, backend, API, integration, database, testing, and support layers. You will translate well-scoped business and technical requirements into reliable, secure, accessible, and maintainable software, while working closely with product, architecture, data, user experience, quality, and platform teams.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Define component boundaries, intended use, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, estimates, and support expectations with product, business, architecture, user experience, data, quality, and platform partners. Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, preferably React. Build scalable backend services, microservices, background jobs, and business logic using Python and FastAPI, Node.js, Java, C#, or comparable technologies.
Design and maintain secure, versioned RESTful or GraphQL APIs with validation, authentication, authorization, error handling, retries, idempotency, and useful failure semantics. Integrate applications with governed enterprise data platforms, relational databases, cloud services, and approved internal or external APIs. Develop data-intensive user experiences, workflows, visualizations, and scenario-based capabilities that support strategic and operational supply chain decisions.
Integrate approved AI-enabled capabilities, such as conversational assistants, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, or tool-based workflows, where appropriate and with human oversight. Implement layered unit, integration, API, contract, UI, accessibility, performance, security, and data-validation tests. Use source control, code reviews, CI/CD, containers, feature flags, backward-compatible releases, monitoring, rollback, and incident-management practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot production applications across frontend, API, database, data-integration, cloud, and AI-enabled components; support defect resolution and root-cause analysis. Create and maintain technical designs, API specifications, support procedures, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer documentation. Contribute reusable components, engineering standards, and continuous improvements that strengthen the broader supply chain technology ecosystem.
Collaborate effectively with global, distributed teams using Agile or scaled Agile ways of working. Basic Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Approximately 5 to 9 years of relevant software-engineering experience, subject to final HR leveling.
Functional Skills Full-stack product engineering: independent design, implementation, diagnosis, and maintenance of a coherent front-end-to-backend production component or vertical slice. Backend, API, data, and integration engineering: versioned contracts, persistence, schema evolution, validation, authentication, authorization, retries, observability, and reliable integration patterns. Cloud and lifecycle reliability: containers, CI/CD, configuration, release management, monitoring, rollback, incident response, and production support.
Secure enterprise application delivery: role-based access, least privilege, privacy, accessibility, traceability, and quality evidence appropriate to the system classification. Must-Have Skills Demonstrated ownership of at least one production frontend, backend, API, data-integration, automation, or full-stack component. Strong hands-on proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
Strong backend development experience using Python/FastAPI, Node.js, Java, C#, or an equivalent framework. Experience designing, building, and supporting RESTful APIs and microservice-based applications. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Experience with Git-based development, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. Working knowledge of cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and production application operations. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across frontend, API, database, integration, and cloud layers.
Ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with global, cross-functional teams. Good-to-Have Skills Experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECR, RDS, S3, IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, or related services. Experience integrating applications with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, SQL warehouses, or governed enterprise data products.
Experience with event-driven architectures, queues, streaming, GraphQL, WebSockets, Kafka, or durable workflow patterns. Experience with OAuth/OIDC, enterprise identity, role-based access control, secrets management, and least-privilege design. Experience with LLM APIs, RAG, vector search, structured outputs, AI orchestration, MLflow, or agent-enabled applications.
Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch. Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, healthcare, or another regulated enterprise environment. Professional Certifications AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Developer - Associate, or comparable certification preferred.
Soft Skills Strong ownership, sound technical judgment, and disciplined follow-through from design through production support. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Clear written and verbal communication of design decisions, estimates, evidence, trade-offs, risks, and support implications.
