How You’ll Add Value… We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our Finance team, with primary responsibility for fixed asset accounting and support for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
This role will maintain the integrity of the fixed asset subledger, ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation, prepare account reconciliations and journal entries, and partner cross-functionally to support timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
What You’ll Do… Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including asset additions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and depreciation. Review capital expenditure activity and supporting documentation to ensure costs are appropriately classified and capitalized in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP.
Partner with business owners, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to resolve fixed asset coding, purchase order, invoice, and in-service date questions. Prepare and post recurring and nonrecurring journal entries related to fixed assets, depreciation, construction in progress, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other assigned close areas. Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset and other assigned balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
Monitor construction-in-progress balances and coordinate with project owners to place completed assets into service promptly. Support periodic physical asset inventories and asset verification activities, including research and resolution of discrepancies. Prepare fixed asset rollforwards, depreciation forecasts, and other schedules supporting management reporting and financial statement disclosures.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met. Provide documentation and schedules for internal and external audits, including support for asset additions, disposals, reconciliations, and key controls. Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established close procedures.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve close efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the accuracy of fixed asset reporting. Perform ad hoc accounting analysis and support other general ledger responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of general accounting experience, including fixed asset accounting and month-end close responsibilities. Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP and fixed asset systems. Ability to analyze financial data, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues independently. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple close deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions. Experience in a publicly traded, multi-entity, or global organization is preferred.

United States Base Compensation: $66,000.00 - $83,000.00 The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications), qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
