The Role The Process Operator will support our Process Technology group and is responsible for daily operations of batch, continuous and semi-continuous pilot systems, including material charging, QC sampling, troubleshooting and resolving operations issues. The Process Operator is expected to know the fundamental principles of operational and general maintenance of distillation columns, pumps, heat exchangers, filters, etc. A minimum of five years of experience operating PLC or DCS based, chemical manufacturing systems is required.

We are guided and united by our Group Purpose of “giving our world more smiles.” Visit: https://www.fujifilm.com/us/en/about/region/careers Job Description Key responsibilities for this role include: Operate and maintain pilot systems according to the standard operating procedures Operate hand/fork truck (general material movements within operations areas) Adjust process parameters as instructed by Process Engineer Participate in daily, operations planning meetings.

Responsible for meeting all assigned safety, quality, reliability and production goals for pilot systems. Train and demonstrate proficient unit startup, shutdown and emergency procedures for pilot systems Monitors the system operation and adjusts parameters (PLC or manual) during operation as instructed by Process Engineer. Collect and submit QC samples.

Participate in safety reviews, including design reviews, incident investigations, and safety audits. Participate in QC and process control reviews. Maintain PTG inventories for consumables (filters, chemicals, packaging, etc.) and pilot system spare parts, equipment and tools.

REQUIREMENTS Completion of a High School diploma or GED. Associates degree, or college level coursework in chemistry or chemical engineering is a plus Able to work an 8-hr daily shift (with occasional shift rotation and overtime) 5+ years of experience with chemical plant operations (distillation and HVM filtration systems preferred) 5+ years of experience with PLC or DCS operation platforms. 5+ years of experience in operating systems that are monitored and controlled via SPC and SQC methodologies.

Physical requirements include: Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders for 3-4 hours at a time Lifting a maximum of 50 pounds Open/close process valves up to 16 inches Ability to work both indoors and outdoors (year-round) This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
