Job Description About this Role: The Supplier Decarbonization & Sustainable Sourcing Manager executes supplier-facing climate and sustainable sourcing programs for an assigned supplier, category, or initiative portfolio.

The role turns strategy into measurable action by engaging suppliers, collecting and improving emissions and sustainability data, developing transition and improvement roadmaps, delivering climate and sustainable sourcing campaigns, and embedding requirements into sourcing and supplier management. The role reports to the Supplier Decarbonization Lead and works in matrix partnership with the Circularity & Sustainable Sourcing Lead. How you will contribute: Execute assigned supplier decarbonization and sustainable sourcing programs in line with agreed strategy, standards, and annual plan.

Manage supplier engagement, data requests, reviews, workshops, roadmaps, follow-up, and escalation for the assigned portfolio. Support programs related to supplier climate targets, CDP, renewable energy, PCF data, emissions reduction, and capability building. Deliver assigned sustainable sourcing initiatives such as EcoVadis, sustainable materials, packaging, circularity, green chemistry, nature, or water programs.

Integrate approved requirements into sourcing events, specifications, scorecards, contracts, supplier segmentation, and SRM. Maintain high-quality data, evidence, dashboards, action plans, and impact records. Partner with Category Managers and technical stakeholders to identify feasible, commercially sound solutions.

Share learning, improve tools and playbooks, and provide clear progress and risk reporting to both Leads. Accountabilities: Supplier Decarbonization Delivery Segment and prioritize assigned suppliers using emissions contribution, maturity, feasibility, and business relevance. Engage suppliers on credible targets, emissions disclosure, renewable electricity, operational improvements, materials, logistics, and PCF data.

Co-develop supplier transition roadmaps with supplier owners, milestones, evidence, and expected impact. Track commitments and escalate stalled progress or material delivery risk. Climate Programs & Data Execute assigned CDP Supply Chain, SBTi engagement, Energize, PCF, training, and supplier capability activities.

Collect, validate, reconcile, and document supplier emissions and activity data using approved methodologies. Support hotspot analysis, category pathways, impact quantification, and auditable reporting. Maintain dashboards and evidence for supplier, category, and program performance.

Sustainable Sourcing Delivery Manage assigned supplier sustainability assessments and improvement actions. Support sourcing and qualification of lower-impact materials, packaging, chemistry, logistics, and circular solutions. Coordinate pilots, supplier audits or reviews, technical evaluation, and scale-up planning with the relevant experts.

Track environmental and business outcomes such as material change, waste avoidance, resource efficiency, innovation, or supplier maturity. Category & Supplier Integration Translate approved standards into practical category requirements and supplier selection criteria. Support Category teams with market insight, supplier options, RFP content, evaluation, negotiation, contractual commitments, and SRM reviews.

Connect sustainability action to cost, innovation, quality, risk, resilience, and continuity considerations. Ensure accountabilities and follow-up are clear after sourcing or governance decisions. Program Management & Continuous Improvement Plan deliverables, dependencies, stakeholder engagement, risks, and status for assigned initiatives.

Maintain action logs, supplier documentation, lessons learned, and reusable playbooks. Work across the two Lead portfolios with transparent prioritization and early escalation of capacity conflicts. Contribute ideas for automation, data quality, standardization, and improved supplier experience.

Education, Behaviors, Competencies, Skills: Required 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sustainability, supplier engagement, environmental programs, or related work. Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Hands-on experience delivering supplier programs, collecting and interpreting sustainability data, and managing cross-functional initiatives.

Working knowledge of Scope 3, supplier climate frameworks, sustainable sourcing, and environmental improvement levers. Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills. Fluent English, written and spoken.

Preferred Master's degree or relevant professional certification. Pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemicals, packaging, manufacturing, or regulated-industry experience. Experience with CDP, SBTi, GHG Protocol, EcoVadis, PCF methods, renewable energy, circularity, green chemistry, or sustainable materials.

Additional European or supplier-market language. Skills & Competencies Supplier engagement and practical influencing. Analytical rigor and data quality mindset.

Program execution, organization, and follow-through. Ability to translate technical sustainability topics into procurement action. Commercial awareness and problem solving.

Comfort working for a solid-line manager with matrix priorities. Collaborative working style across global and technical teams. Resilience and persistence in driving long-cycle supplier change.
