About this role
Keep a GMP facility's HVAC and utilities reliable. You will troubleshoot, optimize and modify facility systems and support capital projects at a leading biotechnology manufacturing site in Juncos, Puerto Rico. What you'll do Troubleshoot and optimize HVAC, utilities and facility systems for safe, reliable, GMP-compliant operation.
Support preventive maintenance strategies and recommend system modifications. Execute facility modifications and capital projects within schedule and budget. Prepare cost estimates, schedules and technical reports.
Coordinate with Facilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, EHS and contractors.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) + 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree. HVAC/BMS and utilities experience in a regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment. Working knowledge of GMP; validation protocol writing/execution is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and technical writing skills. Bilingual English/Spanish. Available for weekend support and 12-hour shifts during implementation.
Contract: 6 months, with possible extension Shift: Non-standard, with weekend support and 12-hour shifts during implementation Start: November 2026
