The Business Unit Manager (BUM) leads a therapeutic franchise in the Philippines, driving sustainable growth through strong strategic marketing leadership and commercial excellence.
This role owns full P&L accountability, brand strategy direction, launch excellence, and people leadership while ensuring strong marketing-driven commercial execution. The BUM translates insights into actionable strategies, builds high-performing teams, and ensures patient-centric, data-driven decisions to maximize long-term business value.
Develop long-term franchise strategy aligned with global and affiliate priorities
Define portfolio strategy, including lifecycle management and pipeline readiness
Identify growth opportunities across patient segments, channels, and access pathways
Assess market dynamics and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
Build a sustainable growth platform beyond initial product peaks
Own full revenue, profitability, and financial performance of the business unit
Lead annual business planning (sales, pricing, margins, investments)
Drive forecast accuracy and optimize resource allocation
Continuously assess ROI and reprioritize investments based on performance
Identify cost-efficiency opportunities without compromising growth
Lead cross-functional execution of product launches and key initiatives
Ensure readiness across regulatory, access, supply, and commercial execution
Develop risk mitigation strategies for market entry and expansion
Drive early adoption and accelerate uptake through targeted strategies
Monitor performance and adapt plans based on real-time insights
Lead development and execution of brand strategies and tactical plans
Ensure differentiation and strong positioning across channels
Champion data-driven decision-making and customer insights integration
Build and strengthen omnichannel engagement strategies
Embed patient-centricity in all brand and commercial initiatives
Build and lead a high-performing commercial organization
Identify capability gaps and drive targeted development programs
Develop succession pipeline and future leaders within the franchise
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
Coach and develop team members to maximize potential
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (KOLs, institutions, partners)
Anticipate changes in policy, access, and reimbursement environment
Represent the business unit in strategic external engagements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned execution
Integrate global and area strategies into local execution
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field
Proven experience in a Business Unit Manager, Sales Manager, Product Manager, or equivalent leadership role
Strong background in both sales and marketing within healthcare industry
Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience
Strong track record in driving business growth and managing P&L
Experience in product launches and lifecycle management
Strong understanding of market dynamics, access environment, and healthcare ecosystem
Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix organization
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
