Environmental Monitoring Technician

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.

Collects samples for Environmental monitoring (EM) and utilities monitoring (UM) at client facilities

Transports samples, supplies, and equipment between the Eurofins laboratory site and client sites

Perform laboratory analyses including (but not limited to) Bioburden, Endotoxin, Total organic carbon (TOC), conductivity, pH

Performs visual inspection of agar plates for microbial growth

Data entry into LIMS or controlled forms using good documentation practices (GDP)

At least an Associate's degree in microbiology or other relevant subject.

High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered

Strong aseptic technique

Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time

Ability to lift or move 20lbs

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

Attention to detail

Proactive, self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills

Position is part-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with potential overtime or flexed hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
