Basic purpose of the job: 1, Execution Excellence as a Technical Expert: Demonstrate execution excellence as a technical and scientific expert by optimizing the utilization of technical support data generated at regional and local levels. Drive the development and continuous improvement of technical leadership and innovation for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH) brands and business.Ensure high-quality technical and scientific training and assessments for internal and external teams by planning and executing training calendars aligned with marketing strategies and sales objectives.

Address customer needs by providing compliant, evidence-based scientific and technical support through field activities, including MR accompaniment (ride-alongs) and direct customer engagement. Capture customer insights and unmet needs from field interactions and share them with internal stakeholders. 2, KEE Management: Ensure compliant and effective KEE management by developing and implementing clear selection criteria documentation in line with FMV principles.

Execute KEE engagement activities through the Technical Services team, following an agreed Gantt chart, including monitoring of visits. Ensure clear objectives, defined visit frequency, appropriate KEE activities, and accurate visit reporting in accordance with internal policies. 3, Stakeholder Management: Represent BIAH and build strong professional relationships with key academic institutions, Key Opinion Leaders (KEEs), and industry stakeholders within the veterinary field.

Collaborate closely with senior leadership, global teams, wholesalers, and external partners as a BIAH CA (Pets) Technical Expert to support strategic objectives. 4, Competitive Intelligence: Develop a strong understanding of competitors’ products, features, and benefits to contribute to defining optimal positioning and unique selling propositions (USPs) for BIAH CA products. Empower internal teams with competitive insights to effectively defend BIAH brands and franchises.

Continuously monitor, analyze, and share competitors’ activities, innovations, and market trends. Accountabilities - Related performance indicators: Integration of technical services with overall CA strategies Vets’ centric Successful collaboration with R&D teams for LCM of existing products and new product launches Aligned with global guidance and customized to JP market if needed, being validated by global Tech team, GSM and GCB Contribution to the achievement of sales target AAP plans for the subsequent year Launches tech assets Technical training & support Ensure development and or update of technical material for product promotion and launches, in alignment with marketing strategies.

Deliver constantly updated technical presentations. Ensure internal and external teams of BIAHJ are technically trained.

Pro-actively contribute on LCM discussions from technical perspective. Training satisfaction score Assessment score KEE & Stakeholders management Perform customer visits to understand and respond to customer needs Build on relationship to foster company business Ensure KEE management is being performed by the TS team in a compliance and effective way KEE Gantt chart and visits reports Cross functional collaboration, crisis management and Issue Resolution Effective collaboration with other local departments and global technical service team Swift resolution of technical crises and issues Feedback sessions Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements: Maintain compliance with the BIAH policies and procedures.

Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards. Job Complexity: This role is responsible for technical service functions, working with marketing and sales functions to ensure the effective support of the business strategy from a technical perspective.

Interfaces: Marketing Brand Manager, Sales Manager and Medical Representative, Regulatory Affairs, R&D Job Expertise: Veterinary Minimum Education/Degree Requirements: Bachelors Degree 学部卒, Veterinary 獣医学 Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies): Maintain a valid veterinary license 3 years of experience as a clinical veterinarian preferred Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders Basic project coordination skills, with the ability to support technical projects under guidance Customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate support Willingness and ability to adapt to changing market conditions, technologies, and organizational environments Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook Language Skills:Japanese: Native proficiency (Required)English: Basic proficiency (Business-level English is not required; however, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to develop their English communication skills) Willingness and ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel Must reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Authorization and ability to operate a company-leased or approved rental vehicle
