Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description As a Field Application Scientist, you will serve as a technical leader supporting customers across Southeast Asia (SEA), delivering expert guidance on industry-leading bioprocessing solutions. You will work alongside a committed team supporting customers from early-stage process development through commercial GMP manufacturing. Role & Responsibilities · Provide expert-level technical and applications support for bioprocessing equipment and workflows to customers. · Partner with sales and business development teams to support pre- and post-sales activities, driving customer success and revenue growth. · Deliver technical seminars, webinars, product demonstrations, and customer training on upstream bioprocessing, single-use technologies, and automation control software. · Serve as a technical authority on cell line development, media development services, process scale-up, workflow optimization, and custom design of single-use consumables. · Lead on-site customer engagements, including GEMBA activities, to assess workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and resolve technical challenges. · Support customer troubleshooting, quality investigations, and the development of test protocols for process validation in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams. · Act as the Voice of Customer, providing feedback on product performance, quality, and innovation to internal stakeholders. · Support field service engineering teams during installation, commissioning, and IOQ qualification activities. · Serve as a subject matter expert for the existing product portfolio and support new product innovation (NPI) initiatives. · Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive technologies, and market developments through participation in conferences, trade shows, and industry events. Requirements – · Advanced tertiary qualification (Master’s degree or higher) in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline. · Minimum of 8 years of relevant upstream bioprocessing experience, gained within GMP manufacturing environments and/or MSAT or process development teams. · Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and serve as a key interface between customers, sales, product management, and quality organizations. · Prior commercial or customer-facing experience is preferred. · Ability to work independently in controlled laboratory and manufacturing environments, with the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (e.g., safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, hearing protection). · Willingness to travel up to 40% within Southeast Asia (SEA).
