Position Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role provides technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping through validation, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement. The Senior Mechanical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll do as a Senior Mechanical Engineer
- ✓Lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- ✓Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- ✓Create solid models and engineering drawings with a focus on manufacturability.
- ✓Develop and evaluate prototypes, conduct testing, and implement design improvements based on results.
- ✓Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering technicians.
- ✓Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues.
- ✓Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, project management, and supplier teams to ensure successful project execution.
- ✓Support design for manufacturability, design for assembly, reliability, and cost optimization initiatives.
- ✓Manage multiple projects and engineering tasks simultaneously while meeting schedule and budget targets. 10. Participate in supplier evaluations, component selection, and qualification activities.
- ✓Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
- ✓Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and cost reduction.
- ✓Present technical findings and recommendations to management, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required Qualifications
- ✓Engineering Bachelor's.
- ✓Minimum of 5-8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- ✓Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and product development methodologies.
- ✓Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or similar platforms.
- ✓Experience with engineering analysis tools.
- ✓Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and solve complex engineering problems.
- ✓Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- ✓Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- ✓Experience in regulated industries, manufacturing, packaging equipment, automation, or product development.
- ✓Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk assessment methodologies.
- ✓Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- ✓Project management experience of capital projects exceeding $1 million.

Pay range for this opportunity is $92,650.00 - $119,900.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
