About the opportunity As a Technical Supplier Engineer , you serve as the key technical interface between QIAGEN and our strategic suppliers specializing in injection molded plastic components.
In this role, you combine technical expertise, supplier collaboration, and problem-solving skills to ensure the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of critical manufacturing processes and components. This is an onsite based role in our Barcelona Office. Please send your CV in English!
Your tasks include: Acting as the primary technical contact for suppliers manufacturing injection molded plastic components, providing support on quality, manufacturing, and process-related topics. Partnering with internal teams and suppliers to addressing technical challenges related to component design, tooling, manufacturing processes, and product quality. Evaluating product and process deviations, leading root cause investigations, and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Supporting the development and continuous improvement of acceptance criteria, inspection methods, measurement procedures, and quality standards. Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to aligning production capacities with short-, mid-, and long-term business requirements. Driving supplier-related continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives to enhancing operational efficiency, data quality, and cost effectiveness.
Monitoring industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments to identifying opportunities for innovation and process excellence. Your profile Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline. Experience working with injection molding processes, plastics manufacturing, supplier engineering, supplier quality, or a related manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methodologies, root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions in a complex environment. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build trusted relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
