The Opportunity The National Thought Leader Engagement, Marketing is Responsible for developing and executing the U.S. Aesthetics Injectables Thought Leader engagement strategy to strengthen partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), emerging leaders, speakers, advocates, and influential customer sites. This role serves as a critical liaison between external thought leaders and internal cross-functional teams, partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and global stakeholders to align engagement strategies with business objectives, portfolio priorities, and upcoming product launches.
The position oversees strategic customer relationships, fosters long-term KOL development, and ensures the effective exchange of scientific, clinical, and market insights that inform organizational decision-making. By cultivating trusted partnerships, triage stakeholder needs, and connecting thought leaders with appropriate internal resources, this position drives innovation, accelerates knowledge sharing, and enhances customer engagement across all products and customer segments while maintaining the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and compliance excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive National Thought Leader Engagement strategy aligned with brand priorities, commercial objectives, and product launch plans Identify, segment, and cultivate relationships with national, regional, and emerging KOLs and design initiatives to engage at each level while building a diverse thought leader network.
Serve as the primary commercial lead for thought leader engagement activities, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Professional Education and other cross-functional stakeholders. Partner with Marketing on the planning and execution of advisory boards, assist in recommending advisor selection, contracting, communications, onsite support and post event debriefs. Develop and execute national congress engagement strategies, act as the liaison between Galderma and society organizations, orchestrate meetings between leadership and Thought Leaders/customers, lead symposium and in-booth efforts with GAIN faculty.
Partner with Director of GAIN Business in developing practice growth tools Lead quarterly business reviews, engagement debriefs, and executive reporting to communicate outcomes, key insights, opportunities, and recommendations. Develop and manage thought leader engagement metrics, dashboards, and balanced scorecards to evaluate influence, engagement quality, and business impact. Ensure alignment of thought leader requests and opportunities with appropriate internal resources, facilitating timely responses and strengthening external partnerships.
Maintain accurate engagement documentation and customer profiling through approved CRM and business intelligence systems. Champion compliance and ethical engagement practices in accordance with all company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements Leverage tools to capture and maintain updated account profiling and engagements, meetings, objectives and next action that will drive business needs. Monitor, analyze and interpret latest trends in the market, competition and product performance; communicate insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and brand leads Qualifications Minimum of 8 years’ experience in aesthetics and/or pharmaceutical industry.
Sales experience preferred Bachelor’s Degree Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability in developing effective strategic relationships required Congenial, diplomatic, exhibits patience, and able to interact well with internal and external customers Launch experience preferred Cross-functional experience with a proven track record of collaboration and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders Exceptional communication and presentation skills: ability to articulate a point of view succinctly and effectively to senior leaders and external customers Comprehensive analytical/strategic thinking skills; demonstrated ability to utilize data in fact-based decision-making (data to insights, to action). Ability and confidence to work effectively and with a sense of urgency across a global matrix enterprise, and to influence without authority Receptivity to feedback – welcomes & acts on feedback and displays humility. Navigates ambiguity – positively & proactively reacts to and manages ambiguous or unclear situations.
Adaptability, resilience and tenacity and ability to quickly pivot Availability to travel >65% time Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Physical Requirements and Work Environment This role requires the ability to perform standard office activities, including extended periods of computer use, participation in virtual and in-person meetings, and collaboration across teams. Where pay falls withing the range may vary based on many factors, including, but not limited to, job responsibilities, skills, experience, education, certifications, location and applicable geographic pay zones, market conditions, internal equity and business considerations. Compensation decisions are made based on an assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and the totality of relevant factors. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an annual short-term incentive program, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
