The Principal I, Automation & Control Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading technical projects in the design, development, and maintenance of instrument/electrical and automation control systems. You will apply mathematical modeling, analyze dynamic behavior, and use control theory to ensure optimal system performance. Specifics include: • Lead technical projects related to the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of control systems • Focus on mathematical modeling, analyze dynamic behavior, and use control theory to create effective controllers • Make significant technical decisions impacting project performance and innovation • Stay current with technological advancements in system design, configuration, and automation • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control • Complete all required training and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field. • Minimum 10 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 5 years in the medical industry or other manufacturing industries. • Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI systems, and automation inspection system. • Proven in managing projects (i.e. project/machine transfer) • Strong command of English for internal and external communication • Good leadership and collaboration abilities • Industry experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing are preferred • Open to candidates from other manufacturing sectors with a strong, relevant track record • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent Worker If you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.
