Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. Labcorp is seeking a Scientist I (Bioinformatics Scientist I) to join our team at Yeshwantpur in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Work Schedule 40hrs a week (Monday to Friday) in a rotational shift Job Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of the assays run in the Specialty Genomics group Perform routine QC and any required downstream analyses following established work instructions for production analyses Communicate progress, results, concerns, and/or troubleshooting to lab staff, project managers, and/or clients.

Act efficiently in an environment with dynamic timelines and changing priorities Establish and foster excellent working relationships with bioinformatics team members Support validation projects through analysis and/or documentation activities Any other duties as assigned by the management based on the business needs Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in bioinformatics, Genomics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. Preferred Qualifications 4-5 years of relevant experience in bioinformatics, genomics, NGS data analysis, molecular biology, or translational research. Hands-on experience or working knowledge of NGS workflows, genomic data analysis, sequence quality control, and mapping techniques.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform NGS data analysis, including sequence quality assessment, mapping, variant analysis, and data interpretation. Utilize bioinformatics tools, databases, and analytical platforms for genomic and molecular data analysis. Support gene expression analysis, phylogenetic studies, sequence annotation, and molecular characterization.

Work with software platforms such as RStudio, SnapGene, PyMOL, GraphPad Prism, and other genomics analysis tools. Assist in primer design, genomic data visualization, and scientific data reporting. Generate reports and presentations to support research, operational, and client deliverables.

Support precision medicine, genomics, and translational research initiatives. Collaborate with scientists, bioinformaticians, project managers, and laboratory teams to deliver project objectives. Conduct literature reviews and support study design, protocol development, and data interpretation.

Contribute to process improvements, innovation initiatives, and implementation of new technologies.
