Job Description Marketing Engagement Lead (MEL) — Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) Portugal & Spain (Iberia) | Takeda About the role: Takeda is looking for a Marketing Engagement Lead to drive the strategy and execution of our Plasma-Derived Therapies portfolio across Portugal and Spain.
Plasma-derived therapies are life-sustaining treatments for patients with rare and chronic immunological, haematological and neurological conditions — and this role sits at the centre of making sure those patients have reliable access to them. Reporting to the Country Head, You will own the brand strategy and its translation into tactics for both markets, working hand in hand with Medical, Market Access, Supply and the local commercial teams. This is a highly cross-functional role in a complex, tender-driven and supply-constrained category, where commercial judgement matters as much as marketing craft.
How you will contribute: Define and execute the PDT brand strategy for Portugal and Spain, aligned with the European and Global strategy Lead the tender agenda in both markets: preparation, pricing and value positioning, cross-functional coordination and post-award follow-up Translate strategy into an integrated omnichannel tactical plan and lead its execution, tracking impact and adjusting course Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access and Corporate Affairs to build the clinical and value narrative with healthcare professionals, hospital pharmacy, procurement bodies and patient associations Manage brand performance, forecasting and budget, working with Supply Chain to align demand planning with plasma availability Generate customer and market insight to shape portfolio and launch decisions, including new indications and product introductions Ensure all activities meet Takeda's ethics, compliance and local regulatory requirements Lead cross-functional project teams and act as the PDT reference point for Iberia What you bring to Takeda: Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business or a related field; postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Management is a plus Proven pharmaceutical marketing experience in hospital/specialty care — direct experience in plasma-derived therapies, immunology, haematology or rare disease is strongly preferred Demonstrated track record managing hospital tenders and public procurement processes in Portugal and/or Spain Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution: you build the plan and you land it Solid commercial acumen — forecasting, budget ownership, performance analytics Experience working in multi-country or matrix environments, influencing without direct authority Fluency in English and Portuguese and/or Spanish; willingness to travel across Iberia Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance environment Locations Lisbon, Portugal Base Salary Range: €65,200.00 - €89,650.00 For information about our benefits, please click here .
