Position Summary
We are looking for a candidate to join our team as an Electromechanical Assembler on a fixed-term contract.
Work is performed in well-lit, environmentally controlled area. Under general supervision assembles various electronic, electric, plastic and metal components using hand and automated equipment. Other duties are performed as defined by Supervisor.
Duties
- ✓Perform visual sorting or inspection of incoming raw materials and/or production assemblies as directed, to meet quality standards through production process.
- ✓Assemble components according to standard procedures, drawings, electrical schematics or different supervisor instructions if required.
- ✓Interact with other functions (Quality, Warehouse) in order to share information and/or fix problems when necessary.
- ✓Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or other fastening devices.
- ✓Performs hand soldering, wire cutting, stripping and pinning of cables, quality assurance testing on certain sub-assemblies and packaging of certain finished products.
- ✓Use hand drills, tools, automated tapers, crimper, soldering iron.
- ✓Able to perform other tasks if required by supervisor.
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- ✓High school diploma required. 6 to 12 months related assembly experience desired.
- ✓General understanding of English (both spoken and written) is desired.
- ✓Must have general knowledge of basic assembly tools and their intended use.
- ✓Material handling (occasional heavy loads) according to EHS procedures and guidelines.
- ✓Able to work in a sitting or standing position and/or twist or turn the body continuously throughout the day.
- ✓Job requires repetitive movement of both hands continuously, six to eight hours daily.
- ✓Assembly of components requires good vision as well as color distinction.
Compensation
