The Role
As the Global Facility Management Lead, you will establish global standards, governance, and operating model for Facilities Management across Genmab's portfolio. You will establish frameworks, policies, technologies, and standard processes that enable high-quality operations while supporting regional and site teams in delivering exceptional workplace experiences. You will influence stakeholders across a matrixed global organization without direct operational responsibility for regional teams.
Through collaboration, strategic leadership, and continuous improvement, you will ensure Genmab's facilities operate under consistent global standards while maintaining the flexibility needed to address local business needs.
Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.
The Responsibilities
- ✓Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Genmab's global Facilities Management standards, policies, governance frameworks, and operating procedures.
- ✓Define global Facilities Management service delivery models and establish procedures across all regions and sites.
- ✓Develop and maintain global metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), dashboards, and performance management frameworks.
- ✓Establish governance processes that drive consistency, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across regions.
- ✓Partner with regional Workplace and Facilities leaders to support implementation of global standards while enabling local flexibility where appropriate.
- ✓Develop global vendor qualification standards and collaborate with Procurement on sourcing strategies, contract frameworks, and supplier performance management.
- ✓Lead strategic supplier governance and support the management of global Facilities Management service providers.
- ✓Drive global Facilities Management technology strategy and implementation of workplace management platforms.
- ✓Partner with Digital and Business Effectiveness teams to improve reporting, analytics, automation, and data quality supporting Facilities Management operations.
- ✓Find opportunities to improve operational efficiency through benchmarking, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- ✓Provide subject matter expertise to regional Facilities and Workplace teams.
- ✓Support risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, and compliance initiatives
- ✓Collaborate with ESG, Finance, and Facilities peers to integrate environmental, energy management, and ESG objectives into global Facilities Management standards.
- ✓Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and standard methodologies to continually evolve Genmab's global Facilities Management strategy.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related subject area; Master's / advanced degree preferred.
- ✓12+ years of progressive experience in Facilities Management, Workplace Operations, Corporate Real Estate, or related fields within a global organization, 5+ of those in a regulated or lab or manufacturing environment.
- ✓Demonstrated experience developing global facilities management standards, governance frameworks, and operating models.
- ✓Experience with strategic sourcing and vendor performance management.
- ✓Strong expertise in global Facilities Management operating models and service delivery strategies, with responsibility for service governance, strategic sourcing, supplier performance, contract lifecycle management, and operational excellence across a global portfolio.
- ✓Experience working in highly matrixed, multinational organizations and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- ✓Strong expertise in workplace and facilities operations, including predictive asset maintenance strategies, enterprise asset lifecycle management, reliability and maintenance excellence, capital replacement planning, space and occupancy management, and continuous improvement across global facility portfolios
- ✓Experience implementing and optimizing Facilities Management technologies (IWMS, CMMS, CAFM, smart building solutions).
- ✓Proven analytical capabilities with experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven performance management programs.
- ✓Experience leading operational excellence, process improvement, and transformation initiatives.
- ✓Knowledge of sustainability, energy management, ESG reporting, and environmental compliance related to Facilities Management.
- ✓Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and change management skills.
- ✓Ability to balance strategic planning with practical implementation across global locations
- ✓Willingness to travel internationally as required (approximately 10–20%).
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$182,720.00---$274,080.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
