About this role
The position The position holder will accompany the BI global business partners in EMEA Region in their tax declaration obligations (e.g. CIT, WHT, VAT, Tax Accounting, etc.) and specific issues within the scope of the respective country responsibility. As a point of contact between different organizations within Global Business Services and Corporate Tax, the position holder will gather, reconcile and validate the data required for tax filings.
Further, this person will be responsible for the preparation work of tax declarations for BI entities in multiple countries (e.g., advance returns, recapitulative statements, etc.). Tasks & responsibilities As a Senior Tax Services Specialist , you will be responsible for: Gathering tax-related data (including CIT, WHT, VAT, Tax Accounting, and other tax areas) from various data sources to support the preparation of tax returns and other fiscal reports within the assigned country scope. Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all collected data, including performing reconciliations and validations to maintain high data quality standards.
Coordinating tax-related change activities and postings in alignment with the business service organization and established tax processes. Preparing high-quality tax returns (including CIT, WHT, VAT, and other tax filings) and fiscal reports for subsidiaries across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines. This includes evaluating data, designing solutions such as preventive and detective controls, implementing corrective actions where required, maintaining documentation (e.g., tax issue files, reports, and assessment notices), and archiving related records.
Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the Corporate Tax Function and other teams within GBS and the global organization, to address country-specific tax requirements, questions, and issues. About our future employee You should speak English fluently and be a motivated person with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a tax consulting firm or a comparable position of an internationally operating company, preferably in a shared service setup. Additionally, we are looking for: Practical experience and knowledge of financial and/or tax accounting topics and operations, particularly with regard to CIT, WHT, VAT, or Tax Accounting as well as be able to keep up with changing guidelines.
High affinity for systems landscapes like MS Office (especially MS Excel), SAP-FI/ SAP S/4 HANA. Excellent communication and intercultural skills. Ability to deal with more complex topics.
Ideally Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc.) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Law or similar. Team player with strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiating skills as well as an independent way of working.
