Position Summary

As a Team Lead Assembler you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing functions that produce lean principles (one-piece flow) FDA regulated devices in a controlled, team orientated environment. Provides support to Supervisor and department employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm

What you will do as a Team Lead Assembler

Problem solve process deviations and equipment issues through observations.

Assist Supervisor with electronic editing of time clock entries, SQDC Board Updates, 5S Audits, Idea Board, Value Stream meeting and SQDC Board presentation.

Follow Team Lead standard work.

Prepare for and/or lead start-up and shift-end handoff meetings.

Maintain strong lines of communication with all applicable personnel across all shifts.

Able to effectively train employees on standard work and operating procedures within the department.

Work with the Supervisor to manage and assign daily work schedule and job duties to employees.

Activate, set-up and operate labeling equipment, auto baggers, robots, welder, laser, etc. (as applicable to department).

Complete and turn in accurate paperwork.

Communicate raw material stock levels as needed.

Promote and support a safe working environment.

Promote an effective working team environment.

Know, adhere to, and reinforce Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment.

Perform other duties as needed.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Must have at least five years manufacturing experience assembling small parts and/or leadership experience.

Intermediate arithmetic and calculation skills required.

Other

Ability to read, understand, interpret and communicate oral and written instruction in English.

Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving part and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.

Ability to identify and trouble shoot problems and demonstrate good decision making.

Ability to work well with people, maintain approachability and consistency, and foster a positive work environment.

Ability to communicate electronically and demonstrate basic computer skills.

Pay range for this opportunity is $23.49 - $30.40. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
