About this role

Are you an experienced Business Developer with a strong affinity with the operating theater, and are you looking for an opportunity to drive innovation through a consultative sales approach?

We are expanding our international team that focuses on implementing new approaches to existing surgical procedures applicable to different specialties: mainly gynecology, general surgery, colorectal surgery and urology, with possible future developments into thoracic and bariatric.

In this crucial role, you will engage in critical discussions with surgeons, exchange knowledge with them and assist in the operating theater to introduce the use of our advanced and minimally-invasive solutions. The immediate focus will be on successfully introducing Horizon II products (including EBS Endoscopic Breast Surgery, HALS Hand-Access Laparoscopic System, and vNOTES vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery).

To succeed, you will bring the curiosity to learn, an empathic and teamwork-oriented approach, excellent planning and organization abilities, and the availability and willingness to travel frequently across Spain.

This role has the internal title of Advanced Procedure Specialist and reports to the Field Implementation Manager Horizon II

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify Key Tought Leaders relevant for the implementation of surgical procedures to map market opportunities
  • Establish, develop and maintain a network with local hospitals, key surgeons, associations, high level clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, and occasionally tender boards
  • Collaborate with the local Field Implementation team to develop and manage strategic sales plans
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of external and internal events across the country
  • Provide clinical expertise and support for products, including attending surgeries in the operatory theater and following up
  • Analyze the competitive market to identify challenges or potential opportunities
  • Operate as and identify as an ambassador of the Applied Medical brand in competitive environments

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or University degree level
  • Solid experience with medical device products in sales, clinical development and/or marketing roles or similar position
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams
  • Proven goal-oriented, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial drive
  • Located in Barcelona and able to travel frequently
