About this role

Innovation starts from the heart. At Edwards Lifesciences, we’re dedicated to developing ground-breaking technologies with a genuine impact on patients’ lives. At the core of this commitment is our investment in cutting-edge information technology.

This supports our innovation and collaboration on a global scale, enabling our diverse teams to optimize both efficiency and success. As part of our Product Owners team, your expertise will shape user-centered digital solutions that improve usability, adoption, and business outcomes. The role is primarily accountable for UX strategy, research, interaction design, and usability, with UI design and customer experience (CX) alignment as important secondary responsibilities.

How you’ll make an impact: Lead end-to-end UX activities for complex digital products, from discovery and user research through concept validation, interaction design, usability testing, and post-launch improvement. Apply human factors and user-centered design methods to uncover user needs, simplify workflows, reduce cognitive load, and minimize training and learning curves across medical devices, applications, and mobile platforms. Translate research insights and business requirements into user journeys, information architecture, service blueprints, workflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that enable clear product decisions.

Plan and facilitate user interviews, contextual inquiry, co-creation sessions, and usability studies; synthesize findings into prioritized opportunities and measurable recommendations for Product Owners and cross-functional teams. Establish and govern consistent UX standards, research practices, interaction patterns, and reusable design frameworks; guide UI execution to ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and alignment with validated user needs. Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, technology teams, external design partners, and relevant quality and regulatory functions to embed UX throughout the product lifecycle, connect solutions to the broader customer experience, and resolve complex usability risks.

What you'll need (Required): 7+ years of professional experience in UX design, UX research, interaction design, or human factors, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end user-centered design work. Demonstrated experience planning and conducting user research and usability evaluations, synthesizing evidence, and translating insights into clear product and design recommendations. Proven ability to translate complex user and business needs into journeys, workflows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to present research findings and design rationale to senior stakeholders. What else we look for (Preferred): Experience within the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry environment. Experience applying human factors, accessibility, and inclusive design principles to digital products.

Experience leading UX work across cross-functional teams and collaborating with external research or design partners. Strong proficiency with Figma and other UX research, design, prototyping, and collaboration tools; advanced UI craft is beneficial but not the primary focus of the role. Experience contributing to or governing design systems and reusable interaction patterns across multiple products or regions.

Experience designing mobile applications, digital health solutions, or complex enterprise workflows. Understanding of customer experience (CX) principles and the ability to connect product-level UX improvements to end-to-end customer journeys, adoption, and service outcomes.
