Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $66,250.00 Position Summary: The Research Associate is responsible for performing laboratory and production activities in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.

This role supports routine experiments and production batches of low complexity, accurately documents results, maintains equipment, and contributes to quality and compliance objectives. The position works under general supervision while developing technical proficiency and increasing independence in assigned responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Follow established work instructions, laboratory protocols, and departmental SOPs.

Execute assigned priorities and daily activities as directed by management. Adhere to all safety requirements, including chemical handling, labeling, and hazard awareness practices. Set up and perform routine experiments or produce batches of low complexity.

Accurately document experimental results, processes, and batch records. Maintain laboratory records and reference historical data as needed. Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment according to procedures.

Complete required compliance and safety training. Utilize internal databases and systems to enter, retrieve, and review information. Meet established quality standards and departmental performance expectations.

Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities. Support teammates and contribute to departmental goals. Cross-train on multiple functions within the department to increase operational flexibility.

Effectively manage time and workload to meet deadlines and business needs. Demonstrate increasing independence and effectiveness in completing assigned tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: ​​Requires a bachelor's degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience; Or, an Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience​ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety practices, and quality requirements. Knowledge of chemical handling, labeling, and hazard communication principles. Skills in documentation, record keeping, and data entry.

Skills in organization, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately. Ability to learn and perform multiple departmental functions.

Ability to identify issues and communicate them appropriately. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.

Basic proficiency with databases and computer applications. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a laboratory and/or production environment. Exposure to chemicals, laboratory materials, and production equipment while following established safety procedures.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Minimal or no travel required. May require occasional extended work hours to meet operational needs.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and perform laboratory or production activities for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for operation of laboratory equipment and handling of materials.

Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with testing, production, and documentation activities. Ability to visually inspect materials, equipment, and documentation for quality and accuracy.
