As Lilly strives to achieve these objectives, we have embarked on building and in-housing a state-of-the-art “next-best action recommendation engine” platform to enable more agile sales and marketing operations. This platform will - ingest a wide variety of data sources, - run advanced personalized marketing models - and integrate seamlessly with all other Lilly SF and marketing operations platforms to provide recommendations on “what should we do next” to the sales and marketing teams at the individual doctor level, enabling better decision making and improving customer experience. This team will be responsible for operating the omnichannel recommendation engine platform (VERSO) which will drive SF and marketing campaigns for Eli Lilly USA. Mandatory Requirements: Technical and behavioral skills/qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related discipline. 6+ years of experience in AI/ML, advanced analytics, digital transformation, or intelligent automation roles.
Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying Agentic AI solutions using LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and multi-agent architectures. Experience establishing end-to-end AI processes, including agent design, tool integration, governance, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Hands-on experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Strong understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and AI workflow optimization. Experience defining AI operating models, standards, best practices, and scalable delivery frameworks. Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into AI-enabled solutions and measurable outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive adoption of emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a continuous learning orientation.
Preferred qualifications: Experience implementing Agentic AI at enterprise scale with measurable business impact. Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, AI governance, responsible AI, and model lifecycle management practices. Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud-native AI ecosystems.
Familiarity with process mining, intelligent automation, and workflow transformation initiatives. Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or commercial operations domains. Experience mentoring teams and establishing AI capability-building programs.
Industry certifications in Azure AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cloud Architecture, or related domains. Experience working in Agile product teams and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver digital transformation programs. Published thought leadership, conference presentations, open-source contributions, or participation in AI innovation communities.
