About the Business Function The Global Manufacturing & Quality Labs – Lab Systems team delivers and sustains lab informatics platforms enabling GMP-compliant laboratory operations across Lilly's global manufacturing network. We build, implement, and support coordinated digital lab solutions that ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient analytical and quality control processes.
Job Title: LabVantage - LIMS Master Data Analyst The LabVantage Master Data Analyst will assist in building LabVantage LIMS modules and provide foundational support to Quality Control (QC) laboratory operations. This entry-level role focuses on assisting system configuration, maintaining master data, adhering to validation and GxP requirements, and supporting integrations between Lab and enterprise systems under supervision leveraging AI and automation. Key Responsibilities: What you will be doing: Master Data, designs and system integration Develop the configuration, creation, and lifecycle management of analytical test methods in LabVantage LIMS (i.e.
All interconnected MDs to support entire workflow for test method to work as per expectations). Implement test templates, specifications, and parameter lists ensuring standardization and scalability across products and sites. Build test scenarios/ documents and Test method templates Custom Script development for data transfer or verifications Define and maintain Test method metadata structures for automation (units, limits, calculations, result entry templates).
Technical Development & Platform Support Analyze, triage, and resolve system issues through root cause analysis , leveraging both business and technical knowledge to minimize downtime. Participate in triage activities and assist with root cause analysis for incidents. Learn to develop simple scripts/business rules and use LabVantage SDK components with mentoring.
Assist in troubleshooting instrument integrations and data exchange with ERP,ELN, QMS, MES, EM, and analytics systems. Develop and maintain custom reports, APIs, and interfaces ensuring seamless information flow and system interoperability. Apply automated testing frameworks and tools to validate configuration changes and regression scenarios in future-state environments.
Follow release processes and contribute to maintaining version-controlled configuration and code. Quality, Validation & Compliance Perform tasks in accordance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA++ data integrity principles. Assist in preparing design specifications, configuration documentation, and validation test scripts for IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
Participate in change control, release management, and deployment activities to maintain validated state. Support validation automation efforts by executing test scripts and documenting results. Support, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement Acting as extended maintenance team, resolve Master Data incidents and service requests; contribute to knowledge base articles.
Support platform upgrades, patches, and regression testing with automated tools where applicable. Identify small enhancements and process improvements; propose ideas to senior team members. Maintain reusable checklists and configuration artifacts to aid onboarding and scalability.
Collaboration & Learning Participate in vendor and collaboration teams interactions as needed. Demonstrate growth mindset—actively pursue training, shadowing, and best-practice adoption within the LabVantage ecosystem. How you will succeed: Learn and apply LabVantage configuration standards and QC lab processes.
Execute tasks accurately with strong compliance and documentation discipline. Building the agentic AI ecosystem with ease of useability and scalability Sharing AI best practices and implementing AI governance Grow technical capability in scripting, automation, and integrations through mentorship. Strong commitment to documentation and compliance. Knowledge in AI, Open AI, Cloud- Azure, AWS, SQL queries with good understanding of Full-Stack development, GitHub versioning & branching, Front end development and API integration Basic Qualifications and Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/Information Technology/Biotechnology/Chemistry, or equivalent degree 3+ years Experience with LIMS or related laboratory/IT systems (internships or academic projects acceptable). Foundational understanding of lab workflows and compliance principles in pharma/life sciences.
Interest in learning LabVantage configuration, scripting (Java/Groovy/SQL), and validation practices. Exposure to APIs, middleware, or reporting tools is a plus. Good experience in python, backend development will be added advantage Additional Skills/Preferences: Familiarity with Azure-hosted application concepts (basic awareness).
Experience with or willingness to learn test automation tools in validated environments. Excellent SQL skills and an eagerness to learn SDK-driven enhancements and automation. Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and data exchange concepts (introductory level).
Interest in master data governance, version control (e.g., Git), and change/release management. Experience with productivity and ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, ServiceNow) and diagramming (e.g., Lucidchart), AI, Claude LabVantage training/certifications (nice to have).
